14 PAVSA YOUTH ADVISORY BOARD PAVSA is looking for 4-6 youth ages years old with diverse backgrounds and experiences who are: Passionate about social justice issues Interested in collaborating with other youth in their community Responsible Innovative and creative Interested in creating change and making a difference in their community Want to build their resume and expand their volunteer experience Interested in being a peer mentor Interested in public speaking Wanting their voices heard! Interested in sexual health advocacy (especially for survivors of sexual violence/exploitation/sex trafficking) Interested in learning more about Safe Harbor Law for Youth and the No Wrong Door Model & informing their peers/friends about it Can attempt to come consistently once a month and are available via /text Youth Advisory Members will: Meet weekly (for approximately hours) beginning in October through March. Earn a stipend for attending, participating and seeing events through to their completion Develop leadership and communication skills Develop mentoring skills Develop public speaking and community engagement skills Work together to further develop Safe Harbor/No Wrong Door to make it as youth centered as possible Work together to create outreach materials for other youth Help organize/participate in events for Sex Trafficking Awareness Month in January Learn about Safe Harbor and No Wrong Door Please contact the PAVSA Youth Advocate: Paige Kennedy pkennedy@pavsa.org
