Message from your Director, Mary LaRue-Childre There is always something special happening within our Senior Circle membership and it is a pleasure to share the news of our activities each quarter of the year. We are blessed to have been spared a direct hurricane hit this season and our thoughts reach out to our neighbor states of Texas and Florida who have experienced so much devastation. We have many sister CHS hospitals in each of these states and we pray for their safety and strength, as well as, all the communities affected by the recent storms. I am so proud to work with our Senior Circle Members and the staff of our facility. As mentioned, we have been spared a major storm this year, but we have felt the hurricane pains in the past and that touched us to help our neighbors. In less than 3 days, our departments and our members accumulated goods to be delivered to Texas. Later, when Florida was devastated by the storm, our employees and membership again participated in donating supplies to the areas in need. Check the photos inside the newsletter that show Totes 4 Texas and Bountiful Boxes 4 Florida. It is great to live and work in a community of caring people. We can t do everything to make the world perfect, but we can do a little something to make a difference in someone s life. If you are not a member of Senior Circle I invite you to join and become active with one or more of our event options. If you are a current member, please find time to come to one or more of our events. Remember, stay active stay healthy!
