2 From the President I hope everyone is braving the cold and is looking forward to getting the cars out in the Spring. The first event of the season is a Car Show at Progressive Chevrolet on April 17 th. If you are thinking about going to the Regional Banquet on March 5th, I m sure they won t say no to another reservation. The TTCC 2016 Meeting and Event schedule is included in this newsletter. The May 15th PC Car show is our first event of 2016 and we are asking the Membership to save that date and help out. Hope to see all of you at the March 7th Membership Meeting Tom Geul Membership We had 26 members at the February 1, meeting at Serpentini Chevrolet, Tallmadge. We had one visitor, John "Dutch" Schwarze a former member John and his wife Judy were members in the early 2000's. Former members Andy and Debbie Falcone have rejoined Tiretown Corvette Club. Their address is 1509 Seminola Ave., Akron, OH The membership enjoyed a delicious dinner of pizza, pasta, and salad. Alan & Gail brought pies from the Banquet. The food came from Danny Boys, which is the new restaurant going in where Portabellas was beside the Venue and the Firehouse. Thank you to Serpentini Chevrolet for providing the food for us. A sign up sheet was passed around so that the membership could sign up to bring desserts for the meetings each month. The 50/50 was $20.00 and Judy Spada won $ Bob & Barb Ruman brought several Calendar Posters to give for the 50/50 about McNichols Company and the McNichols/Ruman #23, Amy's car and the race schedule for Amy's first race is Sunday, March 6th at Sebring. I would like to wish Norma Stenger a belated birthday, Norma's birthday was January 28, but I did not know it until too late to put her in last month's newsletter. 3 MINUTES OF MEMBERSHIP MEETING :25PM at SERPENTINI SEC REPORT Motion was made by Dave Hollingsworth, 2nd by Barb Ruman to accept last month s minutes. We received a letter from Akron Pregnancy thanking us for the donation. Also, a letter from Ronald McDonald House asking for a donation. TREASURER REPORT Peg read report. We still have money. Report was approved. MEMBERSHIP We had 26 members and one guest. Membership directories are ready. SUNSHINE Barb Ruman reported that she had sent a card to Aaron Quine who is doing fine. Also a past member, Jim Spencer, 56 years old has passed away. SOCIAL Banquet was great, plenty of good food. There were 29 people attending. Lunch bunch will be Feb 18 at Chili s in Montrose. Elaine is checking on getting a group together to go to the Moondog Coronation Ball at Quicken Loans Arena on April 2 and going to dinner before. Let Elaine know if you are interested. Need to have money in at next meeting in March. Still looking for ideas for some day trips where we can drive the Vettes. Will set up Delaney's for St. Patrick s day. GOVERNOR Alan passed out sheets on how to find 2016 NCCC events and points. Regional banquet is March 5 in Wooster. Four members are getting "200 Club" awards and nine are getting worker awards. VP Thanks for the banquet. We gave out awards and goodie bags. There will be a car show at Progressive Chevy on April l7th. PRESIDENT Asked for a vote on having our meetings at Serpentini or Lakemore park all year. Elaine made motion, seconded by Diane Geul. Motion passed to remain at Serpentini. Looking for charities to make a donation. Send Tom the information. OLD BUSINESS Still looking for a webmaster. Tim Obert has been helping out. NEW BUSINESS Ron Austin reminded everyone to use their VIP card for service at Serpentini. Elaine can add National Council members to Facebook account that only Council members can get. 4 Sunshine Report Member Dick Starts had a back operation on February 4th. He is in Summa Hospital Rehab and expected to go home early this week. Visitors are welcome! Waltenbergers, Brays & Rumans have visited. Thankfully, member Aaron Quine is doing well after his operation last December. Barb Ruman Memories

6 MARCH 2016 SOCIAL NEWS SATURDAY MARCH 5th East Ohio Region Awards Banquet held at the Best Western Wooster Hotel & Conference Center in Wooster, Ohio. See the flyer on line or in club newsletter for more details. MONDAY MARCH 7th Membership Meeting at SERPENTINI CHEVY located on West Ave, Tallmadge, Ohio. Food will be served from 6:30-7:15 pm. The meeting will start at 7:30 pm. Desserts this week will be provided by; Jerry Wagner, Carol Roppolo and Elaine Heretta. Thank you for stepping up. THURSDAY MARCH 17th Saint Patrick's Day. We will be going to Delaney's Grille, for our annual St. Patrick's day outing. They are located at 67 West Ave. Tallmadge, Ohio. (they are almost across the street from Serpentini Chevy). The reservation is for 20 to 24 people at 6:00 pm. This has been one of our most attended dinner events. Please plan to be there. The lunch bunch will meet on the 4th Thursday this month because of St. Patrick's day. It will be at BJ's RESTAURANT & BREWHOUSE. Located at 3265 W. MARKET ST. Fairlawn, Ohio. (it is near Summit Mall on the same side of the road) They seem to have an extensive menu with lunches starting at $5.99. Check out their website to see the menu. Watch for upcoming events for April. April 2nd Moon Dog Coronation Ball. PLEASE CONTACT ELAINE AS SOON AS YOU CAN IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND THIS EVENT WITH THE TTCC. SHE NEEDS TO KNOW SO SHE CAN GET A BLOCK OF TICKETS, THAT WAY WE WOULD BE SEATED AS A GROUP. SHE WILL NEED THE RSVP AND YOUR PAYMENT.
