About 55 attendees enjoyed a tour of the College of Dentistry. (Above and left, above and below): Alumni from the Class of 1965 tour the Simulation Clinic. From Dean Johnsen who gave the Class of 1965 a tour of the college: With Dr. So Ran Kwon s permission, I interrupted the D1 students in the Simulation Clinic to say, We have the class of 1965 the 50 year anniversary class; this is your heritage. It is a great heritage. To the 50 year class, I said, These are our D1 students. This is our future it is a great future. The chemistry was quite magical from then on and I had to pry the alums and the D1 students apart to continue the tour! Page 4 Serious About Manners and Safety Wear your College of Dentistry photo ID badge! College of Dentistry photo ID badges have been issued to all faculty, staff and students. These badges are a condition of our employment at the College of Dentistry and must be worn at all times while in the Dental Science Building. Our badge identifies us to patients, visitors, and to each other. We have a responsibility to reach out to patients and visitors and be recognized by them as someone they can turn to with a question, in case there is inclement weather, or during an emergency. Dr. Kanellis asks that you wear your badge CLIPPED to your clothing and worn high rather than the lanyard -- to allow patients and visitors to more easily recognize that you work at the College of Dentistry. If you are a graduate student, faculty or staff member, and forget or lose your ID badge or need a clip, please contact Dental Human Resources (N300 DSB). If you are a dental student, please see the Dental Registrar, Lori Kayser (N312 DSB), to obtain a temporary badge. (Left): Karen Cabrera s (Business Office) ID badge identifies her as a College of Dentistry staff member. It also includes a tag at the bottom that states YO HABLO ESPANOL, to help patients and visitors identify her as a Spanish translator, if they need assistance.
