2 September 27, 2018 Ribbon Cutting & Reopening - Circle of Concern Circle of Concern 112 St. Louis Avenue Valley Park, MO :00 PM - 05:30 PM CST Ribbon cutting will take place at 4:30 PM Circle of Concern has undergone significant building improvements in addition to a major change in their Pantry program. They have had a traditional pantry model for 51 years, but are transitioning to a Client Choice pantry model, which allows clients to choose their own groceries. This requires re-configuring the layout of shelving, establishing new systems and re-training volunteers. Choice is considered a best practice in the pantry world. Circle of Concern staff are very excited about it and they look forward to sharing with the community how it addresses dietary issues related to health, culture as well as individual likes/dislikes. This new pantry model also reduces waste and, most importantly, it s a more dignified way for families to receive their groceries.
