By supporting Girls Inc. of the Island City s 50th Anniversary Gala, you become a champion for Alameda s girls, helping them to seize opportunities and thrive. For 50 years, Girls Inc. of the Island City has inspired over 10,000 girls in Alameda to be strong, smart, and bold. Our girls have gone on to become women of note taking on positions of leadership in various sectors and even founding their own non-profit organizations. While we are currently serving nearly 400 girls and teens annually, we have reached enrollment capacity for our centerbased programs. Our efforts have also focused largely on the Central area of Alameda. As we look to the next 50 years and beyond, our goal is to make sure that every girl in Alameda has access to our enriching programming and support services. In order to do this, We need you. DESIRED SPONSOR LEVEL Legacy $10,000 As a Legacy Sponsor, a gift of $10,000 supports our ability to deliver a breadth of experiences in programs that meet all of our girls where they are, connect to interests they already have, and expand their horizons into areas they may never have imagined existed: from exploring STEM fields leading to higher-paying careers, to building practical money management skills and confidence; from fun physical activity to positive body image and media savvy; from partnering with schools on college readiness and preparation to visionary future planning. Strong $5,000 As a Strong Sponsor, a gift of $5,000 supports the expansion of our teen program, endorsing the recognition that relationships with trained adults, who believe in girls innate abilities, can build their skills, and draw out their resilience which is vital to their successes. Smart $2,500 As a Smart Sponsor, a gift of $2,500 will open the door for 25 more girls to explore the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) by expanding the outreach of our Operation Smart to one Alameda school site; thereby, closing the gender gap and leading to better innovation, increased discovery, and more women in higher-paying careers. Bold $1,000 As a Bold Sponsor, a gift of $1,000 supports the importance of creating spaces that are girls only, where their worries, their strengths, their ideas and dreams are taken seriously, and they feel the safety and freedom to envision a positive future. Daring $500 As a Daring Sponsor, a gift of $500 prepares the future workforce by fully-funding one job shadow stipend, providing one young women with hands-on career exposure and positive adult role models in a science, technology, engineering, and mathematic (STEM) field or non-traditional field. Inspiring $250 As an Inspiring Sponsor, a gift of $250 is an investment in the Girls Inc. experience which ensures that every girl has the tools to manage wise decisions about eating, exercise, and relationship questions; becomes educated; builds a plan for an independent future; and grows to be a competent and confident adult woman.
