Pathfinder is a non-profit, independent school serving children in grades Pre-Kindergarten-8th grade. We represent a broad cross section of the Grand Traverse region pulling students from as close as Traverse City and as far as Bear Lake, Elk Rapids and Northport. We also reach a large population of area families through our popular and often sold-out summer camp program providing programming for 3-12 year olds. Our project-based, experiental learning environment generates vigorous academics, high achieving students, creative minds and a place where learning is both fun and captivating. We represent a vital component of the educational landscape of Traverse City and need to keep this option alive for future generations. What is PathFUNDer? Because of our independence, we rely on tuition revenue and fundraising rather than federal dollars to maintain and enhance our program, including summer camp. PathFUNDer is our school s annual gala designed to generate much needed financial support and has been around for more than 35 years. In the past three years, we revamped the structure leaving us with waiting lists of attendees eager for a spot and record fundraising totals of over $100,000 in net revenue. With a live & silent auction, live music, silent disco, seated dinner, photo booth and other surprises, PathFUNDer has quickly become one of the hottest events in the region attracting young professionals, community and business leaders, current parents and alumni families. Your support of ensures that we can continue to offer a broad and differentiated curriculum to our Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students, maintain hands-on, project based learning experiences both on campus and off, a robust Financial Aid program for families in need, an outstanding and award winning faculty, a dynamic and widely used summer camp program and implement much needed improvements to our 22 acre wooded campus. 3 DONATIONS - Live & Silent Auction LIVE AUCTION Our Live Auction items are presented to our 220 attendees by a professional auctioneer for an hour after dessert is served. Everyone in our auditorium will see your company logo and donated products on our large projection screen on stage, hear the description read by our MC as well as the opportunity to present your item in our digital auction booklet provided prior to the event and the hard copy received at the door when guests arrive that evening. This is a wonderful way to ensure your organization reaches the ears and eyes of our attendees. In addition, we make the digital copy available to alumni and friends of the school prior to the event. We like to package items togegther for our Live offerings in such a way that the buyer wouldn t be able to assemble it on their own without considerable effort. A night at a private home with a catered dinner and case of wine? A private flight to a far flung city with hotel rooms and vouchers for shopping? These are just some of the items that we have provided in the past. SILENT AUCTION Our Silent Auction items are displayed on tables in the cocktail lounge, seen by all 220 attendees during our cocktail hour that kicks off the event. Everyone receives an digital auction booklet to peruse prior to the event as well as a hard copy upon arrival. Like our Live Auction items, we seek silent auction packages or offerings that would be slightly challenging for the bidder to come by on their own. Hand knit hats with lessons from an expert? A day at the Sleeping Bear Dunes complete with treasure hunt and our beloved Pre-K teacher? A restaurant voucher passport for locations around Traverse City to dine throughout the year? These are some of the items that we have provided in the past.
