1 MARYKNOLLER MAY 2016 website: facebook: Jointly organized by Maryknoll Convent School Educational Trust and Maryknoll Convent School Former Students Association, the Homecoming Lunch was held on February 28 at Secondary Section. We were so overjoyed that we had in total 80 tables of over 1000 alumna, families and friends. This year's event was very kid-friendly as we had inflatable games in the hall, in addition to the food and sweets stands in the hallways. Children could enjoy themselves while our girls chatted and enjoyed reunions with classmates. Over HK$600,000 from this event will be donated to MCS Educational Trust. We have to express our deepest gratitude to HF Education for the generous donation, Ms. Camilla Tsang for the complimentary set-up of the highlight inflatable games, and our girls who dedicated their effort and time for the food stalls. We had also involved many current and former students as our helpers for the event. As former students, we very much would like to pass the Maryknoll spirit on to our younger schoolmates. Last but the most important of all, we thank our School Principals for giving us unconditional support to all our fundraising ideas. We look forward to seeing you at our next event, which is also a joint fundraising event 'Autumn Fest', on October 29, Saturday. 2 The Mentorship Programme 10 th Anniversary Launching Ceremony on January 16, 2016 was attended by many veteran mentors who had been with the programme since its much humbler beginning in 2006, not to mention the newer mentors who joined the programme as it progressed into its first decade. Amy Ho shared her feelings as one of the original facilitators on stage. The first Mentorship Programme was a project of the Maryknoll Convent School Foundation Limited. As it blossomed and matured, the baton of organising the programme was passed into the loving hands of the Secondary Section. Miss Melaine Lee and other guests presented long service souvenirs and certificates to 5-year and 10-year mentors in recognition of their tenacity and dedication. Such a fabulous event would not have been complete without a feast to wrap it up!scrumptious refreshments were sponsored by the FSA. And of course, a school building 3D cake was also presented in celebration of the event s 10 th Anniversary Happy 10th Birthday to the Mentorship Programme!

5 Can anyone resist anything that came straight of the oven? The Easter Baking Fun was once again successfully held on 9th April It was definitely a great occasion for all the little budding chefs to bake mouthwatering bacon and cheese muffins in our very own cookery room where their mums used to mingle. Our Baking Fun is surely one of our most popular event on our list. Thank you for the enthusiastic support! We look forward to sharing more culinary ideas in the near future. The Wooly Craft event was held in the same afternoon as Baking Fun, and offered our participants an opportunity to de-stress and relax. Our instructor, Gisela Cheung, is an experienced wool and fibre artist who introduced the fun of wooly craft to particularly our young artists and unleashed their creative talents in making wooly products. Everyone went home with some wooly pendants, smoother palms, as well as a big smile on their face.
