1 Week MHC Rattler Summer Camps Little Explorers Camp Ages 6-8. This camp is designed for young, adventurous participants who love the outdoors. Our camp leaders take campers on a new adventure each day involving hiking, survival skills, scavenger hunts, horseback riding, swimming, geo-caching, rock climbing, mini golfing, day trip to Echo Dale Regional Park and a day trip to Elkwater for frisbee golf and a bug adventure! You do not want to miss this action filled camp! This camp will meet in S103. SC 0096 MON-FRI, JUL 3-7, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $240 Outdoor Adventure Camp Ages Test your limits with Outdoor Adventure Camp. Our camp leaders take campers on a new adventure each day involving hiking, horseback riding, archery, geo-caching, mini golfing, swimming at Echo Dale Regional Park and even a day trip to Elkwater for canoeing and mountain biking! Survival skills will also be covered in this action filled camp! This camp will meet in S140. SC 0120 A: MON-FRI, JUL 3-7, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $240 B: MON-FRI, AUG 14-18, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $240 Sports of All Sorts Ages Calling all sport enthusiasts!! If you love sports and being active this camp was designed for you! Campers will participate in volleyball, soccer, golf, basketball, tennis, ball hockey, flag football, lacrosse and much more. Experienced coaches and athletes will develop and enhance athletic skills while encouraging team work and fair play. This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0089 MON-FRI, JUL 3-7, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $185 Week 2 Volleyball & Basketball Camp Ages Campers will participate in both sports every day for equal amounts of time. The focus of this camp will be on individual skill development as well as team play. This camp is led by the Men s Rattlers Volleyball Head Coach, Mark Porter and the Women s Rattlers Basketball Assistant Coach, Rob Grisonich. These multi-sport athletes can expect to leave this camp with enhanced volleyball and basketball skills as well as a greater knowledge of both sports. This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0097

2 MON-FRI, JUL 10-14, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $135 Camp Xtreme Ages This camp is designed for outgoing, energetic campers that love to be active! Activities will include paintballing, laser tag, rock climbing, skateboarding, mountain biking, canoeing, swimming, capture the flag and more! Campers are required to bring their own skateboard or scooter and helmet. This camp will meet in S103. SC 0082 MON-FRI, JUL 10-14, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $240 PLAY Party Ages (Activities will be planned for ages 7-10 with leadership opportunities for ages ) Have fun partying with a variety of activities and games! Learn new skills to support the development of physical literacy through both structured and unstructured activities. Join Be Fit for Life Centre staff for this fun week which includes both indoor and outdoor activity. This camp will meet at the main entrance of MHC. SC 0200 MON-FRI, JUL 10-14, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125 Sportarama Camp Ages This camp promotes team work and fair play through the process of introducing participants to the skills and strategies involved in a variety of sports. Campers will develop sport specific skills as well as athletic skills. Sports covered will include volleyball, soccer, golf, swimming, basketball, tennis, ball hockey, flag football and lacrosse. This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0086 MON-FRI, JUL 10-14, 1:00-4:00PM; $125 Mini Rattlers Ages 4-7. Our Mini Rattlers camp is designed for our youngest campers. This camp will introduce campers to a variety of sports and activities that focus on skill development, team play and participation. The main goal of this camp is to show campers how much FUN it is to be active! This camp will meet in G109. SC 0079 MON-FRI, JUL 10-14, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125

3 Mini World Cup Ages 4-7. Campers will get to experience the spirit and excitement of participating in their very own Soccer World Cup! Campers will be divided into teams and have the opportunity to represent a country for the week during the soccer games, activities and festivities. This camp will meet at the MHC soccer field. SC 0078 MON-FRI, JUL 10-14, 1:00-4:00PM; $125 Jr. Kayak Camp Ages The daily paddling activities are balanced with games and a day trip from Echodale to Strathcona. No experience is needed and campers work at their own pace to develop paddling skills. This camp focuses on kayaking fundamentals, fun, fitness, water safety and participation. An emphasis is placed on teamwork both on land and on water. This camp is led by John Smith owner/operator of Carefree Adventures Canoe and Kayak Tours. He has several years of experience teaching kayak skills in a safe environment. He is a member of Paddle Canada and is certified by AWA in Swift Water Rescue. Maximum number of participants is 6. This camp will meet at Echo Dale Regional Park. SC 0125 MON-THURS, JUL 10-13, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $210 FRIDAY, JUL 14, 8:00AM 2:00PM Sr. Kayak Camp Ages Designed as a more advanced program for older participants or those with previous paddling experience. Emphasis on a higher skill set needed for moving water. More time will be spent on white water gear and boats. The daily paddling activities are balanced with games and a day trip from Echodale to Strathcona. This camp focuses on improving kayaking fundamentals, as well as fitness, water safety and participation, all in a fun environment. As in the Junior camp, emphasis is placed on teamwork both on land and on water. Camp also led by John from Carefree Adventures. Maximum number of participants is 8. This camp will meet at Echo Dale Regional Park. SC 0083 MON-FRI, JUL 10-13, 1:00-4:00PM; $210 FRIDAY, JUL 14, 8:00AM 2:00PM Week 3 U10 Hockey Camp 10 and under. The goal of this camp is to build basic hockey skills and to improve overall athletic skills. Half of this camp will be spent on ice at the Family Leisure Centre focusing on skating, shooting, puck control and passing and the other half will be spent participating in games and activities that build overall athletic skills. Participants will learn new skills and drills in an environment that fosters sportsmanship, teamwork and most of all fun! A minimum of 10 participants is required to run the camp. Participants are required to come with full hockey

4 equipment, athletic clothing, swimming attire and footwear to participate in all activities. This camp will be held at the Family Leisure Centre. SC 0152 MON-FRI, JUL 17-21, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $295 U13 Hockey Camp Ages This camp is designed for players striving to take their game to the next level. This camp will feature on-ice training with a focus on skating, shooting, puck control, passing, speed and agility as well as dry-land training and sports that will complement a players development. All drills are designed to properly train and improve each participant s individual ability. This camp is built off of the Long Term Player Development Model which maximizes age appropriate training and improves overall athletic skills. This is not a beginners camp, so some previous hockey experience is required. A minimum of 10 participants is required to run this camp. Participants are required to come with full hockey equipment, athletic clothing, swimming attire and footwear to participate in all activities. This camp will be held at the Family Leisure Centre. SC 0153 MON-FRI, JUL 17-21, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $295 Frozen Leadership Camp Ages 4-7. Come cool off at our FROZEN camp! Students will dance to their favorite Frozen songs, play Frozen themed sports games, have story-time, and do fun arts and crafts. Games and sports are designed specifically for younger children and encourage participation, fun, leadership and the development of fundamental movement skills. This camp will meet at the main entrance of MHC. SC 0059 MON- FRI, JUL 17-21, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125 Disney in Motion Camp Ages 4-7. This camp inspired by the magic of Disney. Have fun moving, exploring and making new friends in Disney style. Campers will participate in a week full of Disney inspired games and activities. This camp is the perfect combination of physical activity, imagination and magic! This camp will meet at the main entrance of MHC. SC 0075 MON- FRI, JUL 17-21, 1:00-4:00PM; $125 Rattlers Track & Field Camp Ages The purpose of this camp is to familiarize each participant with all the basic concepts of track & field in a FUN and exciting way. Camp participants will be introduced to running, jumping, throwing and relay events. This program focuses on physical fitness, health and physical development for children aged Participants will develop basic athletic skills, fitness and strength, which will enhance future involvement in track & field as well as many other sports. This camp will be held at the Crescent Heights Rotary Track.

5 SC 0105 MON- FRI, JUL 17-21, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125 Junior Multi-Sport Camp Ages 6-8. Come join us for a week full of sports and recreational activities that will have you loving physical activity! Campers will have the opportunity to participate in soccer, tennis, golf, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, handball, relay races, scavenger hunt, balloon baseball and much more! Arts and crafts as well as team building games will be incorporated into this camp. Campers will end the week with a swimming fieldtrip! This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0077 MON- FRI, JUL 17-21, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $185 Senior Multi-Sport Camp Ages Campers will explore the fundamental skills required to play a variety of sports, while also participating in fun, recreational games. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in soccer, tennis, golf, basketball, volleyball, floor hockey, dodgeball, handball, relay races, kickball, ultimate frisbee, capture the flag and more! Campers will end the week with a swimming fieldtrip! This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0076 MON- FRI, JUL 17-21, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $185 Week 4 Rattler Rugrats Ages 5-7. The Rattler Rugrats camp will place an emphasis on having fun, learning new athletic skills and learning how to play with others. Campers will participate in fun games, activities, fieldtrips and sports that promote a healthy, active lifestyle. Campers will have the opportunity to make their own smoothie at Booster Juice. This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0180 A. MON-FRI, JUL 24-28, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $185 B. MON-FRI, AUG 14-18, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $185 Rattler Recruits Ages The Rattler Recruits camp will place an emphasis on the development of sport specific skills and refine all fundamental movement skills. A variety of indoor and outdoor sports will be covered in a safe and fun environment. This camp is designed to provide our future athletes with the necessary skills and training they will need in their desired sport(s). Campers will have the opportunity to make their own smoothie at Booster Juice. This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0190 A. MON-FRI, JUL 24-28, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $185

6 B. MON-FRI, AUG 14-18, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $185 Minions on the Move Ages 4-7. Minion Mania!! Medicine Hat College has been taken over by small, fluffy creatures with wide eyes looking to have a blast and get active! Spend your week at camp participating in fun minion themed physical activities, games and crafts. This camp will meet at the main entrance of MHC. SC 0081 MON-FRI, JUL 24-28, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125 Wiggle, Giggle & Move Ages 4-7. This camp is filled with fun activities to help energetic campers develop their coordination, balance and fundamental movement skills. Children will be introduced to high energy games, sports and activities that promote FUN in physical activity. This camp will meet at the main entrance of MHC. SC 0084 MON-FRI, JUL 24-28, 1:00-4:00PM; $125 Judo Camp Ages 7-9 & Ages Judo is an Olympic sport and a martial art that involves throwing your opponent to the ground, and getting a hold-down for 20 seconds, or using a choke or arm-bar to get an opponent to submit. In this course, we will focus on movement on the ground, getting & keeping a hold-down, and escaping a hold-down if you are on the bottom. Students will need to wear a t-shirt and pants without zippers, buttons or other accessories that can scratch or tear the mats. Some club uniforms will be available to borrow. This camp will be held at the Judo Club. The minimum number of participants is 6 and the maximum number of participants is 12 per camp. SC 0126 Session A: Ages 7-9: MON-FRI, JUL 24-28, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $150 Session B: Ages 10-12: MON-FRI, JUL 24-28, 1:00-4:00PM; $150 Week 5 Jr. Basketball Camp Ages This camp is designed for young players who want to improve their fundamental basketball skills and abilities. Participants will be split into two groups based upon their current basketball abilities. This camp will focus on shooting, passing, ball handling, dribbling, footwork, offense and defense. Players will get to participate in daily games, shooting competitions, team building activities and tournaments. Campers will end the week with a swimming fieldtrip! This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0098 MON-FRI, JUL 31- AUG 4, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125

7 Jr. Volleyball Camp Ages This camp will focus on the core fundamental skills required to play volleyball. Participants will be split into two groups based upon their current volleyball abilities. This camp will emphasize the proper skills and techniques required to build a strong foundation of volleyball mechanics. Programming includes skill development drills, game-oriented drills, team building games and scrimmages. Campers will end the week with a swimming fieldtrip! This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0099 MON-FRI, JUL 31- AUG 4, 1:00-4:00PM; $125 Superhero Sports Squad Ages 5-7 & Ages Calling all superheroes!! This is a fun opportunity to dress up like your favorite superhero. We will play superhero themed sports games, go on quests to conquer the villains and have lots of fun being active superheroes! Our superhero games and activities are designed to encourage participation, fun and the development of fundamental movement skills. Campers will have the opportunity to meet local superheroes including firefighters and police officers. This camp will meet at the main entrance of MHC. SC 0061 MON-FRI, JUL 31- AUG 4, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125 Ninja Turtles Camp Ages 5-7 & Ages Cowabunga! Join us for a week full of radical sports, games and activities that will rock your shell! Our Ninja Turtle themed sports, games and activities are designed specifically to encourage participation, fun and the development of fundamental movement skills. Campers will have the opportunity to make their own pizza at Farros Pizza and will end the week with a swimming field trip. This camp will meet at the main entrance of MHC. SC 0060 MON-FRI, JUL 31- AUG 4, 1:00-4:00PM; $125 Tour de Medicine Hat Ages Have you heard of the Tour de France? Well this camp is even better as it s the Tour de Medicine Hat! Campers will spend their mornings biking along the best trails Medicine Hat has to offer. Campers will also participate in fun games and end the week with a swimming field trip. Campers are expected to bring their own bike and helmet. This camp will meet in G109. SC 0095 MON-FRI, JUL 31- AUG 4, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125 Week 6 Ball Hockey Camp

8 Ages This camp is designed for young hockey players looking to develop their stick handling, passing and shooting skills. Each day will include skill development, scrimmages, team building games and fun activities that will help enhance campers overall athletic skills. Campers are expected to bring their own helmet and gloves. Campers will end the week with a swimming fieldtrip! This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0090 TUES-FRI, AUG 8-11, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $105 Lacrosse Camp Ages This camp is designed to develop and enhance lacrosse skills in a fun and positive environment. Players will develop techniques and skills related to shooting, passing, catching with both hands, dodging, offense and defense tactics and game play. Each day will include skill development, scrimmages, team building games and fun activities that will help enhance campers overall athletic skills. Campers will end the week with a swimming fieldtrip! This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0101 TUES-FRI, AUG 8-11, 1:00-4:00PM; $105 Tennis & Golf Camp Ages Campers will have the opportunity to develop skills and techniques in both tennis and golf. We will provide all the equipment required for both sports. These multi-sport athletes can expect to leave this camp with enhanced tennis and golf skills as well as a greater knowledge of both sports. Campers will end the week with a swimming fieldtrip! This camp will meet in G109. SC 0102 TUES-FRI, AUG 8-11, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $105 Field Sports Ages This camp is designed for campers who love outdoor sports and want to play a variety of sports all afternoon long. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of field sports including soccer, flag football, lacrosse, ultimate frisbee and much more! Campers will end the week with a swimming fieldtrip! This camp will meet in G109. SC 0103 TUES-FRI, AUG 8-11, 1:00-4:00PM; $105 Junior High Volleyball Camp (Ages 11 15) If you love volleyball, this camp will take your skills to the next level and explore your possibilities. Our top coaches are committed to enhancing your fundamental skills of serving, passing, setting, blocking, hitting and defending to improve your team play. Upon arrival on the first day the group will be split into two groups; older participants (14 15) and younger participants (11 13), to allow for maximum development and involvement. On top of developing fundamental volleyball skills the coaches will share their knowledge about nutrition, mental preparation, and training to provide you with an all-around experience with volleyball

Rattlers Soccer Camps The Early Touches Camp (Gr. 1-3) will focus on teaching campers the basics in a game oriented learning environment. Campers will focus on soccer FUNdamentals such as running with the ball, turning, passing, receiving and shooting (inside foot and laces). These skills will be taught using small-sided games, tag games, relay races and other types of exploratory games. This camp is led by Coach Jim Loughlin, Men s & Women s Soccer, NCCP Level 5 Coach (National A License Trained) and members of the Rattlers soccer program. This camp will meet at the main entrance of MHC on Aug. 14 and will meet the remainder of the days at the MHC soccer field. SC 0035 MON-FRI, AUG 14-18, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125 The Crafty Kickers Camp (Gr. 4-6) will focus on teaching campers crafty ways (i.e. strategy or tactics) to play the game of soccer. Campers will focus on soccer FUNdamentals PLUS tactics in 1 vs. 1, 2 vs. 2, 3 vs. 3 and 4 vs. 4 situations. Skills such as running with the ball, dribbling, turning, passing, receiving and shooting (laces) will be taught throughout the week using small sided games, tag games, relay races and other types of exploratory games. 10 High School Volleyball Camp (Ages 16-18) This camp is designed for players interested in learning strategic plays, such as: serve and receive serves, passing to attack, setting to attack and blocking, defense to offense transition, as well as game drills and tournament/scrimmage play. You will learn how to make the right plays, what it takes to consistently execute those plays, and prepare mentally and physically for the court. Participants are grouped according to skill level (if necessary), to ensure that campers of all levels will be able to develop and strengthen both individual and team concept skills. Evaluations to determine skill level and groupings will be done on the first day of camp and the coaches will perform the assessment. This camp will meet in the gym. SC 0026 MON-FRI, AUG 14-18, 5:00-7:00PM; $160 WEEK 8 Sport & Adventure Camp Ages This camp is the perfect combination of sports and adventure that will encourage participation, skill development and most importantly fun! Campers will learn a variety of skills in a fun and positive environment. The mornings will be spent going on adventures and fieldtrips throughout the city and the afternoons will be filled with sports. You don t want to miss out on this action packed camp! SC 0106 MON-FRI, AUG 21-25, 9:00AM-4:00PM; $205 Zombie Survival Camp Ages Medicine Hat College is calling all reinforcements: You will be immersed into an actual zombie apocalypse. From day one you will learn how to survive when life as you know it has ended. You will be thrown into a hands on training program, learning everything from wilderness first aid to escape and evasion, from physical strength and stamina to combat and precision shooting. The week will help prepare you for the beginning of the end. Are you ready to survive a zombie apocalypse? This camp will meet in S103. SC 0052 MON-FRI, AUG 21-25, 9:00AM-12:00PM; $125 Hunger Games Camp Ages The popular Hunger Games books and movies have inspired us to do all of Katniss favorite things at camp! Campers will select the district of their choice and compete in fun games and activities throughout the week. While you re here you ll get the chance to practice your aim through paintball, laser tag and of course archery! And as always, may the odds be ever in your favor! This camp will meet in S103. 11 MON-FRI, AUG 21-25, 1:00-4:00PM; $125 Rattlers Basketball Camp Basketball Camps are aligned with the Long Term Athlete Development Principles. This camp brings together ages that would be in the "Learn to Train" and "Train to Train" stages. The goal of the camp is to convert their fundamental movement skills into fundamental sport / basketball skills such as dribbling, passing and shooting while challenging their aerobic base. They will do this through individual skill work as well as applying those skills within the team setting. MHC Men s Basketball Head Coach, Richard Humphrey and MHC Women s Basketball Head Coach, Clayton Nielsen will be leading these camps. Both of these camps will meet in the gym. Co-ed Basketball Camp: Gr. 7-9 SC 0015 MON-FRI, AUG 21-25, 9:00-11:00AM; $160 Co-Ed High School Camp: Gr SC 0020 MON-FRI, AUG 21-25, 6:00-8:00PM; $160 Pre/Post Care Ages Supervised activities are available from 8:00am-9:00am and 4:00pm-5:00pm. During this time, campers will engage in fun activities that are geared towards their individual interests. Early and late supervision is available to campers from all Continuing Studies summer camps with the exception of those camps occurring off-campus.
