Glad to know these developments are on the horizon. I will present information to patients differently now and I learned a lot from the motivational interviewing segment. The conference is a high point of my year. I really enjoyed being in the company of so many fellow PAs, while learning the latest useful medical information. Great content! And good location. This is my first conference here. The overall atmosphere of the weekend was great. I look forward to future conferences and to the direction of OSPA overall.

Prior to the 2016 OSPA Fall CME, we will log you into the NCCPA system as a registrant. At the conference, or immediately following go to and log on to Your Personal Certification Record. Click Log New CME, and then click on our Conference which will be linked on your page. Each day check those meetings you attended and your participation in that session is linked with your CME files. In addition, we ll have CME Attendance Forms printed for each day s activities. Accessing PDF Copies of the Presenters Presentation In order to maintain the green-ness that makes Oregon special, we do not print a course syllabus. Instead we request that the presenters send our office their P owerpoint presentations in advance of the meeting. Once these are received, we post the PDF files to our web site and allow you to download the presentations in advance of the meeting. You can print the presentations for your own files, or just download them to your personal computer or tablet, and follow the presentations with the presenter. As we get closer to the Fall CME dates, we will be posting the speaker presentations on our web site. At that time we will notify all registrants of the active speaker presentation page, and will continue to update the presentations as they are received by our presenters.

Our successes in Salem these past few years are due to an active Government Affairs Committee, great representation by Elizabeth Remley and her team at Thorn Run Partners.and the member support of our OSPA Political Action Committee (PAC). Once again, we are hosting a PAC Reception on Friday night, October 14th for our PAC members in What Does it Cost to Join the OSPA PAC? $50.00 per person (or more if you care to increase your contribution), and that s your ticket to attend the PAC. Last year nearly 50 people joined us in the Sunset Suite. With our goal of raising $10,000 for the 2017 Legislative Session, we re planning to increase the numbers of OSPA members and friends on Friday, October 14th. How Do I Join the PAC? It s Simple. Visit the OSPA web site at and click on the Advocacy Link at the top of the page. You may join online or print the forms and return them to our office. The PA profession in Oregon appreciates your participation and involvement in the political process! PAC donations will also be accepted at the conference! Fulfill All PI-CME Hours Required by NCCPA at the 2016 OSPA Fall CME An opportunity to fulfill all PI-CME hours required by NCCPA is being offered as part of the Chronic Kidney Disease workshop on Thursday, October 13th. A live, interactive discussion will provide all participants with 1.5 hours of regular Category I CME. During this discussion, a packet from the AANPA will be provided to each participant for completion at home, evaluating their own practice with respect to Chronic Kidney Disease. When the completed packet is sent back to the AAN- PA, 20 AAPA Category I PI-CME credits will then be awarded at no additional cost to the participant.
