2 SEIZURES EFFECTED IN THE ONTH OF NOVEBER, 2015 On , officers of NCB, Zonal Unit seized bottles of Chemsedyl Cough Syrup at Sastitala, PS Narkeldanga,. On , officers of NCB, Zonal Unit seized kg of at Santragachi Taxi Stand, Howrah. The drug was concealed in brown polythene packets. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Zonal Unit seized kg of Poppy Straw at Kebal Krishna Sur Street,. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of NCB, Patna Zonal Unit seized bottles of Codeine based Cough Syrup at Transport Nagar, Patna. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Imphal seized kg of (unclaimed) at Lamlai, Imphal. On , officers of 191 Bn., BSF, Khemkaran, Taran Taran seized kg of Heroin along with 02 magazines of AK-47 and handed over the drug to NCB s Amritsar Sub Zone for further investigation under NDPS Act. The suspected source of the seized drug was South West Asia. On , officers of NCB, andi Sub Zone in coordination with Sashastra Seema Bal destroyed illicit cultivation of Cannabis spread over 1.2 acres of land in District Kullu of Himachal Pradesh. On , officers of NCB, Zonal Unit seized tablets of Nitrosun-10 containing Nitrazepam at Helabattala, Barasat. 01 person was arrested. Further, in follow up operation conducted on , NCB seized 100 bottles of Rancof Cough Syrup and 25 bottles of Corex Cough Syrup at Hakimpur, North 24 Parganas. On , officers of NCB, Patna Zonal Unit seized 3430 bottles of Codeine based Cough Syrup and 600 vials of Ketamine injection at Transport Nagar, Patna. On , officers of 87 Bn. BSF, Amarkot, Punjab seized kg of Heroin and handed it over to NCB s Amritsar Sub Zone for further investigation under NDPS Act. The suspected source of the seized drug was South West Asia. From to , officers of NCB Guwahati Zonal Unit along with SSB, State Administration and State Police destroyed illicit cultivation of Cannabis spread over 30 acres of land at Denzi, Liphakpu, Brockpalangchem, Wazir, Boha (Kharshing I &II), R.Pam, 700/900 Chain, Chingi, Ankaling villages under Kalaktang Circle of District West Kameng, Arunachal Pradesh. On , officers of NCB, Dehradun Sub Zone seized 100 gram of Opium and 230 gram of Poppy Husk at Nainabagh-Vikas Nagar Road. 01 person was arrested. Further, in follow up operation conducted on , NCB seized kg of Opium from the residence of the accused. On the basis of input received from NCA, United Kingdom an International Controlled Delivery operation was undertaken by the officers of NCB, Delhi Zonal Unit resulting in seizure of 580

3 gram of Cocaine was made from a parcel at Faridabad Post Office on The suspected source of the seized drug was Trinidad & Tobago. On , officers of NCB, andi Sub Zone in coordination with Sashastra Seema Bal destroyed illicit cultivation of Cannabis spread over 1.4 acres of land in District Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. On , officers of NCB, Zonal Unit seized kg of at Jaynagar, South 24 Pragana, West Bengal. The drug was concealed in a nylon sack. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Chandigarh Zonal Unit intercepted a vehicle and seized kg of Hashish. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of NCB, Ajmer Sub Zone intercepted 03 vehicles at Neem Ka Thana, Sikar and seized kg of Poppy Straw. Further, in follow up operation, NCB seized kg of Poppy Straw from a godown. 05 persons were arrested. On , officers of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Gorakhpur seized kg of Hashish (unclaimed) at Goraphpur. On , officers of NCB, Delhi Zonal Unit seized 170 bottles of Phensedyl Cough Syrup at IGI Airport, New Delhi. 01 person was arrested. The suspected destination of the seized drug was Saudi Arab. On , officers of NCB, Ahmedabad Zonal Unit seized kg of from Puri Ahmedabad Express train. The contraband was detected by RPF, Kankaria, Ahmedabad while conducting routine check in the train at washing line in Kankaria Yard. On , officers of NCB, Zonal Unit seized 240 kg of Poppy Straw along with kg of dried Poppy Pods at Itadanga, Burdwan. The drug was concealed in 08 nylon sacks. On , officers of NCB, Chennai Zonal Unit seized 990 gram of Cocaine at Anna International Airport, Chennai. The drug was concealed in 86 capsules and swallowed in stomach by one South African national lady. She was arrested. The suspected source of the seized drug was Brazil. On , officers of NCB, Jodhpur Zonal Unit seized kg of Opium at Nimbali Toll Plaza, Jodhpur-Pali Highway, Jodhpur. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of NCB, Bhubaneswar Sub Zone seized kg of outside parcel booking office, Bhubaneswar Railway Station. The drug was concealed in 02 sacks. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of 105 Bn., BSF, KS Wala, Amritsar seized kg of Heroin and handed it over to NCB s Amritsar Sub Zone for further investigation under NDPS Act. The suspected source of the seized drug was South West Asia. On , officers of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Amritsar seized kg of Heroin (unclaimed) from 68 down goods train came from Pakistan at LCS, Rail Cargo, Amritsar. The drug was concealed in 10 packets and kept in cavities in the riveted iron

4 attachments of three bogies of the goods train. The suspected source of the seized drug was South West Asia. On , officers of 105 Bn., BSF, KS Wala, Amritsar seized kg of Heroin and handed it over to NCB s Amritsar Sub Zone for further investigation under NDPS Act. The suspected source of the seized drug was South West Asia. On , officers of NCB, Ranchi Sub Zone intercepted a vehicle and seized 150 kg of Poppy Straw at Ranchi. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of izoram Excise & Narcotics, Aizawl seized 154 gram of Heroin at Aizawl. 01 yanmarese national was arrested. The suspected source of the seized drug was yanmar. On , officers of BSF `G Team, Imphal seized kg of at Imphal and handed it over to NCB s Imphal Sub Zone for further investigation under NDPS Act. On , officers of NCB, Chennai Zonal Unit intercepted a parcel at /s Aramex India Pvt. Ltd at Ekkaduthangal, Chennai and seized kg of ethaqualone. The suspected destination of the seized drug was alaysia. On , officers of NCB, Zonal Unit intercepted a parcel at /s DTDC Courier, Camac Street, and seized 75 gram of Hashish. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of NCB, Delhi Zonal Unit intercepted a parcel at /s DHL Courier Pvt. Ltd, Rama Road, Kirti Nagar, New Delhi and seized 560 gram of Hashish. The suspected destination of the seized drug was United Kingdom. On , officers of NCB, Bangalore Zonal Unit seized 110 gram of Cocaine, 19 gram of Hashish, 1.2 gram of DA and 01 blot (0.02 gram) of LSD at Bangalore. 01 person was arrested. During the month of November, 2015, officers of the Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) seized kg of Hashish, 350 gram of Heroin and kg of in 21 cases and arrested 21 persons including 09 nationals & 02 Bhutanese nationals. The suspected source of the seized drugs in most of these cases was Nepal. ******
