2 SEIZURES EFFECTED IN THE ONTH OF JANUARY, 2014 On , Officers of the Central Bureau of Narcotics, Neemcuh, P seized kg of Poppy Straw near Kesarpura village, NeemuchChittorgarh Road. The drug was concealed in plastic bags and transported by a truck. On Officers of the NCB andi Sub Zone intercepted a car and seized kg of from the possession of four persons at Kullu. The drug was concealed in false cavity made in the roof of the car. They were arrested. On , Officers of the Customs Preventive, Attari Rail, Amritsar seized 40 grams of Opium along with 2 Pistols, 4 agazines & 2 Cleaning rods from 68 down LahoreAmritsar goods train. The drug was concealed near wheels & excels of the wagon. The suspected source of the seized drug was Pakistan. On , Officers of the Central Bureau of Narcotics, Lucknow seized kg of from the possession of one person. The drug was concealed in white transparent polythene and kept in bag. He was arrested. On , Officers of the NCB umbai Zonal Unit seized kg of Ephedrine Powder from the possession of one lady of Zimbabwe Nationality at CSI Airport umbai. The intended destination of the lady was Delhi. The drug was concealed a secret chamber at the front side of the body and just behind the cabin/cap of the truck. One person was arrested. The towels were impregnated with contraband purported to be Ketamine. Three foreign nationals (2 Nigerian & 1 ozambique Nationals) were arrested in the case. The drug was concealed in parcel of 16 ladies handbags & 12 purses. The suspected destination of the seized drug was China. In follow up operation conducted on one Nigerian National named Sampson Samuel Okoro was arrested.

The drug was concealed in shredded cloths and further packed in Bags. Two persons were arrested. On , Officers of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Kolkata with the help of Customs, Siliguri and Group of Armed Police personnel Siliguri intercepted a truck and Gypsy at Fulbari Toll Gate, District Jalpaiguri, West Bengal and seized 9310 kg of Ganja along with 4 Pistols (made in USA), 1 AK47, 1 P5 Submachine Gun (made in Germany), 2 Air Guns, 23 Live rounds (.65 caliber bullets), 90 Live rounds (.22 caliber bullets) & 39 Live rounds (7.65 caliber bullets). The drug & arms ammunitions were transported in fake army convoy of a 6 wheeler carrier truck escorted by a white colour Gypsy. Both the vehicles having fake numbers plate and camouflaged as army vehicles. Nine occupants of both vehicles were also dressed as army personnel. All nine persons were arrested.
