2 SEIZURES EFFECTED IN THE ONTH OF JULY, 2014 On , officer of NCB, Indore Zonal Unit seized kg of Ganja at Shresth Petrol Pump, Kala Chowk, PS Gadarwara, Narsinghpur, adhya Pradesh. 03 persons were arrested. On , officers of the NCB, umbai Zonal Unit seized kg of ethamphetamine and kg of Ephedrine at ira Road, umbai. 02 Nigerian Nationals were arrested. On , officers of the NCB, Imphal Sub Zone along with 9th Assam Rifles intercepted a vehicle at oreh, anipur and seized 70 grams of. 01 person was arrested. On & , officers of the NCB, Hyderabad Sub Zone along with Andhra Pradesh Police seized kg of Amphetamine at Bacharam, District Rangareddy, Telangana and kg of Amphetamine & kg of Ephedrine at Surmaiguda, Distict Rangareddy, Telangana and busted 01 illicit Clandestine Laboratory. 12 persons were arrested. On , officers of the Special Narcotic Police, izoram seized tablets (1.60 kgs) of ethamphetamine at Bethlehem area, Aizawl. 01 yanmar National was arrested. The suspected source of the seized drug was yanmar. On , officers of the Border Security Force, 50th Bn., Amritsar seized kg of & kg of Opium and handed over to the NCB Amritsar Sub Zone for action under the NDPS Act. The drug was thrown from across the fence on IndoPak International Border. The suspected source of seized drug was South West Asia. On , officers of the Karnataka Police, Belgaum seized kg of Cocaine at Bhuranaki Village Limits. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of the NCB, Guwahati Zonal Unit intercepted one motor cycle at Nalapara, Guwahati and seized kg of Opium. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of the NCB, Guwahati Zonal Unit intercepted one car near Jorabat, Guwahati and seized kg of. 03 persons were arrested. On , in coordination with CISF, IGI Airport, New Delhi officers of the NCB, Delhi Zonal Unit apprehended 01 Tanzanian National lady and seized kg powder of Pseudo Ephedrine from her checkinbaggage at IGI Airport, New Delhi. She was arrested. The drug was concealed under brown coloured card boards. The suspected destination of the seized drug was Lilongwe via Adis Ababa. On , officers of the NCB, umbai Zonal Unit seized kg of Ephedrine at the premises of /s DTDC Couriers & Cargo Ltd, Andheri. The drug was concealed in the parcel of pen boxes. The suspected destination of the seized drug was South Africa. On , officers of the NCB, Guwahati Zonal Unit seized 248 bottles of Phensedyl Cough Syrup containing Codeine Phosphate at Spice Jet Cargo near LGBI Airport, Guwahati.

On , officers of the Special Narcotic Police, izoram seized 102 kg (8,67,000 Nos.) tablets of Pseudo Ephedrine at Aizawl. The drug was concealed in 51 black polythene containers and further packed in 03 white nylon bags. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of the NCB, Chennai Zonal Unit seized kg of and kg of ethamphetamine at Customs Examination Area, Anna International Airport, Chennai. The drug was concealed in trolley bag. 04 persons were arrested. On , officers of the NCB, Chandigarh Zonal Unit intercepted a vehicle at Shambhu Toll Barrier, Patiala, Punjab and seized kg of Opium along with Currency of Rs.35,000/. The drug was concealed in the Bonnet of the vehicle. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of the NCB, Ahmedabad Zonal Unit seized kg of Hashish at Ahmedabad. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of the NCB, umbai Zonal Unit seized kg of Ephedrine from a parcel at the premises of /s Aramex India Pvt. Ltd, Andheri. The drug was concealed in boxes. The suspected destination of the seized drug was South Africa. On , officers of the NCB, Chennai Zonal Unit seized 980 grams of Hashish and 190 grams of from Courier Parcel at the premises of /s. Fedex Couriers, Guindy, Chennai. The drug was concealed in Cloths and Button. The suspected destination of the seized drug was United Kingdom & Spain. On , officers of the Border Security Force, 33 Bn. Akhnoor recovered kg of near Border Pillar No. 537 at BOP Dewra, Tehsil Akhnoor, District Jammu. The recovered drug was handed over to the NCB, Jammu Zonal Unit on for action under the NDPS Act. The suspected source of the drug was South West Asia. On , officers of the NCB, Cochin Sub Zone seized kg of Ganja at Aluva Railway Station, Ernakulam. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of the Customs, Air Intelligence Unit, Kolkata seized kg of Hashish at Netaji Subhas Chandra Boss International Airport, Kolkata. The drug was concealed in 36 packets of Haldiram s Brand Soan Papdi and further packed between the Soan Papdi box. The suspected destination of the seized drug was Hong Kong. 01 person was arrested. On , officers of the NCB, Indore Zonal Unit seized kg of at Bamniya Railway Station, Tehsil Petlawad, District Jhabua. 02 persons were arrested. On , officers of the Delhi Police apprehended two persons at Bhikaji Cama Place, New Delhi and seized kg and 200 grams of form their possession, respectively. Further, kg of was seized in followup operation conducted at one shop and two residential houses. Total kg of was seized and 05 persons including 02 Afghanistan Nationals were arrested. On , officers of the NCB, Delhi Zonal Unit seized kg of Cocaine from a parcel at Krishna Park Extension, New Delhi. The drug was concealed in a book. 01 Nigerian National was arrested. The suspected source of the seized drug was Brazil. On , officers of the Border Security Force, 50th Bn., Khasa, Amritsar seized kg of and handed over to the NCB Amritsar Sub Zone for action under the NDPS Act. The modus operandi of the trafficking was concealment and clear method across the border security fence in side. The suspected source of seized drug was South West Asia. On , officers of the NCB, Chandigarh Zonal Unit in the presence of a high level Drug Disposal Committee comprising Shri R.P. Singh, Deputy Director General (NR), NCB, Shri Kaustubh Sharma, Zonal Director, NCB, Chandigarh Zonal Unit, Shri Amandeep Singh, Deputy Director, DRI, & Shri Jagbir Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (Crime), disposed off kgs of pertaining to 35 cases at Bio edical Waste Plant of /s Rainbow Environments, Kharar, ohali, Punjab. During the month of July, 2014, officers of the Customs, FPO, New Delhi intercepted 25 parcels containing kg of, kg of Opium, kg of Hashish, kg of Ganja, kg of Ketamine & 01 Towel (27.51 Sq. Inches) impregnated with Ketamine. The suspected destinations of seized drugs were South Africa, Canada, Spain, Netherland, United Kingdom, Congo, Russia, Australia, alaysia & Austria. During the month of July, 2014, officers of the Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) seized kg of Hashish, kg of Ganja, & kg of in 12 cases and arrested 18 persons including 06 Nationals. The suspected source of the seized drugs in most of these cases was. SEIZURES EFFECTED EARLIER BUT REPORTED IN JULY, 2014 On , officers of the Special Narcotic Police, izoram seized 43 grams of at Aizawl. The drug was kept inside 06 Whisky plastic container and 07 Tobacoo containers. 02 yanmar National was arrested. The suspected source of the seized drug was yanmar. On , officers of the Customs, Preventive & Intelligence Unit, Siliguri seized kg of ethaqualone at Bagdogra Airport. The drug was concealed in 12 thin transparent plastic pouches and further packed inside the false bottom of suitcase. 01 person was arrested. The suspected source of the seized drug was and destined to Bangkok. On , officers of the Central Bureau of Narcotics, Ratlam seized kg of Opium at Ratlam Railway Station. The drug was concealed in transparent polythene covered with yellow polythene labeled Bapu Chhap Tambaaku. 01 person was arrested. *********
