1 PHONE: (972) Robert W. Davenport, Jr. December 12, April 28, 2012 Robert W. Davenport, Jr., passed away Saturday, April 28th, 2012 at the age of 55. Robert was born December 12, 1956 in Columbia, Mississippi and was the oldest of 5 children. He graduated with highest honors from Mississippi State University in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Upon graduation he began his 32-year career with Texas Instruments/Raytheon where he was named a Raytheon Fellow in 2008 and was an invaluable member to his team. Robert married Janet Slaughter of Pascagoula, Mississippi in February 1983 and they enjoyed 31 years of marriage. He was a loving father to two children, Drew (24) and Julie (22). He was incredibly proud to see Drew graduate from Oklahoma State University in December 2011 and was a patient and adoring father and care-giver to his special-needs daughter, Julie she truly is his little angel! Robert was a kind, loving and gentle soul, with a quiet voice and a wonderful dry wit. He enjoyed sailing, woodworking, tech gadgets, and spending time with his family. He served as Secretary/Treasurer for the Lavon Yacht Club on Lake Lavon and was passionately involved with sailing throughout his life. In fact, he and Janet were sailing in beautiful St. Martin when he passed away. Robert was a long-time member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. He was a role model, mentor and friend to all his siblings, many co-workers and acquaintances. He will be deeply and sorely missed. Robert is survived by his wife, Janet Davenport of Allen, Texas; son Drew Davenport of Wichita, Kansas; daughter, Julie Davenport of Allen, Texas; mother Patricia Davenport of Rogers, Arkansas; brother Gerard Davenport of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; and sisters Sharon Davenport of Visalia, California, Susan Davenport of Austin, Texas and Francie Davenport of New Orleans, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father Robert W. Davenport, Sr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 7, 2012, at St. Jude Catholic Church in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 7:00-9:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen

2 with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. Donations may be made in Robert s name to The 5P Minus Society, the support group for parents of children with 5p- Syndrome/Cri du Chat Syndrome or the American Diabetes Association s Research Foundation. Robert was involved with 5P- Society since Julie s diagnosis and worked with them on their Annual Conference and Get-Together. And he was a long-time member and supporter of the American Diabetes Association and their efforts to Stop Diabetes. Memorials Bob has been a great friend and colleague. Bob demonstrated great kindness, integrity, and intelligence in all that he did. I will miss him very much and think of him often. His dry wit would crack us up on long days in the desert. He always had a smile. His patience is something I will never attain. He will be sorely missed as a friend and as a brilliant engineer. BONNIE GILMORE, MAY 4, 2012 I was incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Bob for many years at Texas Instruments/Raytheon. The Navy customer always knew that when Bob was supporting them they could be sure that all would turn out well. I was proud to work alongside Bob and travelled often with him to support the customer. Bob was a man of few words but when he spoke you could always be sure he would have kind words to say. Renate and I really enjoyed the time Bob and Janet invited us out on their sailboat. Bob was a true friend and we will miss him. I fondly remember the family's visit to DC when Francie and I lived in Rockville and how much I enjoyed finally meeting her big brother whom I had heard of since we were teens. Bob always had a kind word to say and a calm, unassuming drive to do the right thing for our Team and Customers. I have many fond memories of time spent with Bob bouncing around North Texas on a DC-3 working on new equipment. Bob was always focused and always calmly, professionally driving towards a great Engineering solution to the toughest problems. before I even came to Texas, my wife Karen spent time with Bob and Janet sailing and loved the fun time spent together. although I have known Bob for 31 years and Karen knew him even longer, I got to know him well in the past few years as we sat next to each other in our new work area. Teaching a bunch of uncoordinated, fun-loving, fellow-tiers and wives how to sail had to be an incredible challenge. Both Janet and Bob had incredible patience and gave us all a gift of making a wonderful memory of some precious time together. Time to get to know one another, laugh together, laugh at each other and time shared with good friends and shared dreams of wonderful future we all dreamed of. They helped lay the foundation to so many wonderful and forever friendships in our group. Bob always thought of others and his incredible love for his kids and Janet was something to be admired and envied. Janet, I know Bob is now in heaven with Richard. Together they will watch over both of us and our kids. I feel Richard's strength and presence every day in my life and I know Bob is your heavenly angel doing the same for you. I pray you feel that strength when you need it most and know he still loves you and is near. Please allow us all the blessing of helping you when you need lifting up or help in any way. We are all here for you. Bob's love remains with you. Hold onto it and he will help you and the kids.
