1 PHONE: (972) Alene Roth August 21, June 23, 2011 Alene Roth, age 57, of Celina, Texas, lost her valiant long time battle with cancer on June 23, She was born August 21, 1953, in Corona, California to William Albert and Charlene Mae (Lengel) Roth. She was a member of Waters Edge Lutheran Church, Frisco, Texas. She is survived by her brother, William E. Roth of Huntington Beach, California; sister, Linda Roth Souder of Celina, Texas; nieces, Valor and Payton Souder of McKinney, Texas; nephews, Christopher and Benjamin Roth of Huntington Beach, California; aunt, Emilie C. Powell of Roseville, California; and uncle, Stan D. Powell of Las Vegas, Nevada. Although she had no children of her own, she was a loving Christian mentor and surrogate mother to all four of her nieces and nephews. Alene was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 27, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at Waters Edge Church, in Frisco, Texas, with Rev. Mark Schaefer officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home at their convenience on Sunday to pay their respects and to sign the register book. The family will receive friends during a visitation Sunday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Her ashes will be interred in Missouri and the Caribbean, where she spent many happy hours. SUSAN "SUSIE" CORSARO-JOHNSON, DECEMBER 3, 2011 I worked with Ali at Princess Cruises in the early 90's in Los Angeles. We had a big company party at the Beverly Hilton and we shared a hotel suite together and had a blast!! I am a breast cancer survivor myself underwent surgery 3 years ago and was so sad to hear the passing of Ali. CINDY SANNER, SEPTEMBER 23, 2011 I am very sad for the premature earthly loss of a sincerely genuine loving soul. The pictures of her smiling are a true testiment to the goodness she possessed. Alene radiated beauty from the inside out. Though her body is no longer with us, she will definitely live on within every heart she has touched. I continue to love you and miss you. Please know that your courageous battle against cancer taught taught me more than I understood that I was learning. You showed me how to face adversity. I was always amazed that in spite of the horrific cancers that attacked your precious body, you NEVER gave in to negativity. Like a fighter in the ring, you got back up everytime cancer tried to beat you down. I continue to be amazed by your courage and your servant's heart...chris Roth's testimony at your funeral was a testament to your demonstration of Christ's love for the down trodden and broken hearted. I am so happy for the memories we made when we went to Amarillo last June 2010 (what laughs we had). May you sing forever in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 3 Taken from us way too soon, Alene was a brave and courageous young lady. She did not "lose" her battle with cancer...she won it, because she NEVER gave in, NEVER got down, and NEVER lost hope. The courage that she displayed allowed those of us who knew her and cared deeply for her to ALWAYS keep our hopes for her alive. Let there be no mistake. She is the victor. She may be gone from our lives, but she won the battle. Thanks Alene, for being you. LARRY SOUDER, JUNE 26, 2011 Hi, I meet Ali in Seattle Washington in 1996 at the Seattle Airport were we both were applying for a job for Alaska Airlines. We eat lunch together and later went back for our interviews. Ali and I got a long so will and we had alot incommon, we both didnt have kids and I got married late in life. We both like to travel and she did help me with my home work for Alaska Airlines. Ali was lucky and got the job with Alaska Airlines and I got a job with Costco and we have been friends ever since. We had moved to Hawaii in 2003 and she came to visit Harold,Sara & Matty. We had a wonderful time togather. Ali, Harold and I did ride the Flum'in da ditch take a guided kayak ride through the flumes of Kohala and had a wonderful time. We did go horse back riding in the Waipio Valley,and had a wonderful time. While she was on the Big Island we did take in some of the falls like Akaka Falls State Park,The World Botanital Gardens and Umauma Falls. Before she left we did go and see the Valcano and had a wonderful time. We were lucky to have Ali with us when we had our house in Hawaii Blissed. Ali was just like a sister to me and a good friend. When we moved back to Vancouver, Ali did come down to Vancouver and spend some time with us. And, when we would have our family Christmas Party's the 1st Saturday in December she would make the trip down here for the weekend. I did drive up to see her and stay for the weekend and we had so much fun. My last visit to Seattle, I was lucky to go with Ali to her Cancer Treatment meeting at the Hospital, I was so glad that I could share this with her and learn more about what see was going through last year before she moved from Seattle. I really missed her alot. My mother loved her very much. I will miss her very

4 much and I know she is in a better place and she is in Gods hands and in no pain. She will be will miss. Despite everything going on with her health, she always found time to be so caring & supportive of the rest of us. The team will never be the same. Making donuts from scratch at 1:AM. Drinking Boones Farm wines on the beach and driving up and down Hwy 98 FWB/Destin (shame on us!) When I returned from Atlanta after a year of transformation...haha!-omg, I can still hear your opinions and the look on your face! Through the past 41 years of moving around and living our lives, we always stayed in touch and reached out to one another. I tell you, the HOURS we stayed on the phone were worth every $. And, I still hold most of the letters you wrote to me. Now, I will place all of your s in a very safe place...i saved them all. I WILL MISS YOU, ALENE! But, I know where you are.
