PHONE: (972) Pamela Byer June 27, March 3, 2017 Pamela Byer, age 66, of Plano Texas, passed away unexpectedly on March 3 rd, Pamela was born in June of 1950 in Watertown, South Dakota, as the second child of Vincent and DeEtte (Sexton) Byer. After high school, she attended and successfully graduated from the South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota with a bachelor s degree. She then earned her master s degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. Pamela lived and worked in the Dallas area for over thirty years, and was employed by several technological and computer firms including Convex and most recently, Hewlett-Packard, where she worked for the last twenty plus years. Pam was a generous, kind and thoughtful soul, who was exceptionally loyal to and supportive of her numerous friends, many of whom she has known and cherished since her first days in the Dallas area. She was an avid reader, treasured time with friends, she enjoyed nature, bicycling, taking walks and simply relaxing on her patio with a cup of coffee and a good book. She was a loving, compassionate daughter, continually caring about and assisting her mother who has now since passed away. Similar to her mother, Pam was sincere, honorable, and extremely hardworking, who cherished her independence and was proud to have successfully made her own way in life. As a sister, Pam was compassionate, supportive and was always there to lend a helping hand, a sympathetic ear, or a shoulder to cry upon when the need arose, and would challenge her siblings to be their best, simply by leading by example. Auntie Pam as she was lovingly referred to by her nieces and nephews, was a loving and devoted aunt, who left an indelible impression upon them by her random acts of kindness, her infectious laughter, the entertaining stories she told, and the unique and thoughtful gifts she periodically bestowed upon them. Pam will be dearly missed, but will never be forgotten by her loving family and loyal friends, who will cherish the memories and precious time we all shared with this kind and gentle soul. Pam is survived by her sister Barbara Goins of State College Pennsylvania, and her brother Steven Byer of Aurora Colorado, and their families.
No ceremony is currently planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, a favorite charity of Pam. Memorials We are missing our beloved sister, auntie, and friend. Her laugh and smile warmed our hearts, her caring & loving ways will always be cherished and never forgotten, wishing she was here to do the things we planned, just to sit and have a cup of coffee and the fun conversation, to hear her laugh and sharing stories. She is now looking down on us and as one of her aunts said, " she has probably already organized a huge event in heaven! " What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why she left this earth so soon, or why she left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that she died, but that she lived and touched so many lives with her kindness, loving heart, and friendships in so many ways, and that her life gave us memories too beautiful to forget. God had other plans, that we need to accept, knowing she is with mom and other loved ones in heavens gives us a little peace! Know she is now an angel now watching over us with her gentle touch! Genny Byer GENNY BYER, APRIL 21, 2017 No words will help in times like this. She was a gem. Thoughts are with Steve, Barb and families. GERRY WATSON AND EVA EBNER, APRIL 18, 2017 An angel who has now earned her wings! We were the fortunate ones to have known and worked with her. May your spirit live on in your loved ones and never be forgotten with those who you have touched, I know I am one of those fortunate souls. RIP Pam, although gone but never forgotten. GINGER SARABIA - HPE MARKETING & OPERATIONS, MARCH 31, 2017 I only knew Pam for a very short time when we met on the HPE Discover trip to London. I would like to offer my condolences to her family and friends. I wish I had spent more time getting to know her as in reading these messages; she
definitely was a kind and loving person. May she be at peace in knowing that she was so very much loved. Your friend, Phyllis Koenig PHYLLIS KOENIG, MARCH 28, 2017 The minute I met Pam we were friends. Her smile was infectious and we always found something to have a laugh about. I'll miss her terribly but, I am so incredibly thankful to have known her. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers. Love and Blessings, Sherry Fox SHERRY FOX, MARCH 23, 2017 I knew Pam like 3-4 years ago when I joined the Events team at HP. She was one of the first people I started to work with. Maybe not daily but frequently. And we tried to keep in touch several times. For me, Pam was like an angel in the Earth. She was an excellent human being and it was a truly pleasure to work with her. and do so many events. I still don t believed this but God has his ways and Will. She will be in my hearth and my thoughts forever. I ve be praying for all of her family and friends and for the lovely Pam. And I will keep it doing. Accept my condolences for your lost and our lost. IVAN GUILLEN, MARCH 21, 2017 Pam was the "Mom" to our content event team family with HPE/i4D. She kept us in line, and was always there to lend a helping hand, a well-thought-out solution, a funny remark or just an ear. I will miss my friend so very much, and we won't be the same without her! xx Kim KIM VAYDA, MARCH 21, 2017 I had the great pleasure of getting to know Pam when I joined the events team about 2 1/2 years ago. She was everything that others before me have already said: kind, thoughtful, ever cheerful, always willing to help with anything and everything that needed to be done. She was an anchor for our team - the voice of reason - and she will be terribly missed. Prayers to her family and friends as

She continues to be deeply missed. Thoughts and prayers to her family and the lives she touched every day. xoxoxoxo SHAWN WAGNER, MARCH 21, 2017 As I read the many lovely and heart broken messages of those who loved Pam so well the thought came, 'Although too short by far, what a life well lived". What more can each of us hope for but to be so loved and to leave memories of time shared together that touched and are considered so precious by so many. A true testament of a lovely, lovely person. Pam, thank you for making the world a better place. Rest in peace. ALLI VERNON, MARCH 20, 2017 I had the pleasure of working closely with Pam over my four years at HPE and she was an exceptional person. No project was too much for her to take on and no matter how busy she was, she would always make time to help someone else out. She was always smiling and had such a great laugh - she was the person to call when you needed to vent because she could always cheer you up. She talked about her family often and I am comforted knowing she is with her mom again. Pam will truly be missed. Sending much love and prayers your way sweet Pam. Sincerest condolences to your family. VALERI REEDER, MARCH 20, 2017 Pam is and will be sorely missed. Thanks, Art Garcia ART GARCIA, MARCH 17, 2017 I wanted to offer my condolences to all the family and close friends of Pam. As a co-worker of hers, she was an absolute delight to work with and her positive attitude was more than contagious! I spent time with her in London last year and I became very fond of her and humor. We joked around the entire time talking about becoming rich and having a hoity-toity lifestyle! I will truly miss her! <3 MICHAEL EDWARD JONES, MARCH 17, 2017 Pam was a cherished co-worker and friend who will be missed by all of us who worked with her. She always had a smile and kind word for everyone. JOANNE MCMENOMAN, MARCH 17, 2017 We will miss Pam greatly. We had the pleasure of working with her for several years on HP events. She was funny, smart, and admirable. We can't believe someone so full of life is gone, but we will always remember her and are thankful for the time we got to learn from her. Wishing her family our deepest condolences. -The Lightsource Team THE LIGHTSOURCE TEAM, MARCH 17, 2017 Dear Pam, we all will miss you here at HPE. I never will forget our last phone conversation and s with the laughter we had, by me mixing up the "2 Pam's". It really hurts, that just a few days later you've passed away. Now you are in piece and with the lord. - Sylvia SYLVIA HOCHMUTH, MARCH 17, 2017 Rest in peace Pam. You are missed by your entire HPE and i4d family. BOB MEYER, MARCH 16, 2017
Pam was a wonderful person with whom I had the pleasure of working at Convex and HP. She was always friendly and welcoming. I wish peace for her family knowing she was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She was one of a kind. While her absence on earth will be missed, she is filling the heavens with her joyous persona. With great sorrow, Kim Fryar KIM FRYAR, MARCH 16, 2017 Pam was a wonderful person to be around - growing up in the Sexton family I have many great memories of the family reunions in South Dakota, being on Aunt Dee's lake house and enjoying the company of all those family members. Pam always made time for everybody including all the kids - no matter how young we were. She always had a great smile for use and warm hug. She just had a great outlook on life and you could see it how she talked to you. I am sorry for your loss and I know only time will help and all all the great memories she gave us. I am sure Dee and all the family greeted her with open arms, coffee and hugs. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family during this time. Take care and God Bless. ASHLEIGHE SEXTON, MARCH 16, 2017 We are so sorry for your loss. We hope you know you're not alone - our caring thoughts are with you now and in the days to come. With sympathy and hugs. Joe and Janet Barthel JOE AND JANET BARTHEL, MARCH 15, 2017 I had the privilege of working with Pam at Convex and HP. She was an extremely hard worker, and always had a smile, AND an answer to your question. If she didn't have an answer, she would find it. She was authentic - you never had to second guess her, or decide on a motive. She was as sincere as the day is long. She could get things done, and nothing was ever too much to ask. She will be missed - one of those people who was gone too soon from our lives. She was a lovely lady. My sincerest condolences to the family. CATHY BIRKELBACH, MARCH 15, 2017 I was blessed to have such a supportive friend as Pam! I will miss her checking in with me and our lunch dates where we shared stories about our
families, friends and work. She kept the Ex-Convex ladies luncheon going, and it won't be the same without her! I will really miss Pam. SHARON SHAW, MARCH 15, 2017 Barb, Steve and families, My heart breaks for you, and for all of us who were close to your dear sister Pam. She was a loyal and caring long-time friend, who I will miss very much. We always made a point of getting together for long chats over dinner as we celebrated each others birthdays and Christmas. It is hard to comprehend she is no longer with us, but know she is in a better place celebrating with her mother, Molly, and other relatives who welcomed her into eternity. Take good care, be strong, and let me know if there is ever anything I can do for any of you. Mary Rock MARY ROCK, MARCH 15, 2017 Dear Byer family, I have known Pam since our time at Future Computing. We had great times together with our group of Friends. We watched Dirty Dancing over 20 times in one weekend and by the end we knew all the words to it. We would go out to dinner and the movies all the time. I left Dallas in 1996 but we kept in touch. We did not talk that often but we knew that we could at anytime and pick up where we left off. I will miss her terribly she was a great person.
