1 The Local Cancer Community Update of Submitted by: Tim E. Renzelmann June 5 th, 2017 HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital Invites Cancer Patients and Survivors to Celebrate Life with Attitude! Wednesday, June 7 th Exhibits, Dinner & Speaker The Bull, One Long Drive, Sheboygan Falls If you are attending this event (see attached flyer), I hope you will stop in and visit the MOA/SCBS/TLC/ SCCCF/ST&BF Info Exhibit! In addition to a sweet treat for all cancer patients and survivors, I will have our Crokinole Board for survivors to try out prior to our TLC Survivorship Can Be Fun Crokinole Tournament on Tuesday, June 27 th. Additionally, SCCCF s ST&BF Survivorship Through the Lens photos from a recent visit to the Christopher Farm & Gardens will be on display for a People s Choice photo contest and to generate more interest in our next visit to CF&G later this summer. I would love to have a few TLC Supportive Community and/or SCCCF Survive, Thrive & Be Fit regulars with me throughout the exhibit (3:30P to 5:00P) so, together, we can inform area cancer patients and survivors about the many wonderful opportunities in the local cancer community as well as the many worthwhile benefits! Contact Tim if interested! Kohler Water Spa Offers Day of Relaxation to Local Cancer Patients! The Kohler Waters Spa is hosting another Cancer Awareness-Day of Relaxation Event to take place Thursday, June 22 nd! Kohler Waters Spa, a Five-Star Award by Forbes Travel and only one of 47 in the world, is centered around therapeutic benefits of water. As water ebbs and flows, so do our lives. Kohler Waters Spa is so very pleased to offer this Day of Caring for five lucky cancer patients (those currently undergoing radiation and/or chemotherapy treatment). Waters Spa therapists are some very special people themselves and will provide a wonderful day for these special guests. The Day of Relaxation will include full spa access for the day (bring your swimming suit if you d like to enjoy the pool and hot tub), lunch and one spa service. The Kohler Waters Spa is offering this event in hopes of bringing comfort and relaxation to people during this trying time. If you are currently going through cancer treatment (chemotherapy and/or radiation) and would be interested in this opportunity please contact Tim ASAP (drawing will be held on Thursday, June 15 th )! SCCCF Survive, Thrive & Be Fit Survivor-Athletes Explained! Survivor-Athletes can earn team apparel and merchandise through their participation. Anyone who wears a Survive, Thrive & Be Fit T-shirt has EARNED IT!!!
