1 Agaming Maangogwan Golden Loon (Youth) Due October 14, 2017 at 9:00am The lodge wants its members to grow in scouting both inside and outside the lodge. So to promote this spirit we have created the Golden Loon award. The Golden Loon can be earned by any Arrowman youth or adult provided they meet the criteria. This is not meant to be easy, and will challenge the Arrowman; this may even take one or two years to accomplish. Know that the lodge eagerly looks forward to the day when they can acknowledge your great accomplishment. LEADERSHIP 1. Attend the Lodge Leadership Development. a. Year Attended: 2. 5 Agaming Maangogwan Golden Loon Procedure The Golden Loon Award will be presented annually at the Lodge Winter Fellowship. There is no limit on the number of awards that may be given every year. This is meant to provide the general membership with a goal to achieve and the lodge will recognize any and all youth and adults that meet the requirements. The award will consist of a special patch presented to the recipients at the banquet, and then made available to purchase multiples. Requirement 2 of LEADERSHIP will recognize the following positions. These positions do not need to be continuous, but instead an accumulation of service to a unit. Senior Patrol Leader Assistant Senior Patrol Leader Junior Assistant Scoutmaster Troop Guide Instructor Patrol Leader Quartermaster Requirement 3 of LEADERSHIP will recognize the following positions. These positions do not need to be continuous, but instead an accumulation of service to the Lodge. Youth Positions: Lodge Chief Vice Chief Chapter Chief Chapter Vice Chief Lodge Committee Chairman Adult Positions: Lodge Adviser Associate Lodge Adviser Chapter Adviser Associate Chapter Adviser Lodge Committee Adviser

6 Requirement 2 of SPIRIT includes the following events. Winter Banquet Spring Induction (2 possible) Fall Induction (2 possible) Lodge Fest Section/Region/National Events include. Section Conclave Council of Chiefs National Leadership Seminar OA Ocean Adventure OA Wilderness Voyage OA Trail Crew National Order of the Arrow Conference Jamboree OA Service Corps National Lodge Advisor Training Seminar Any other OA events (Indian Summer, Arrow Corps 5, etc.) The award will be presented at Winter Banquet and will be designed to be the standard lodge flap with a Gold Mylar border. 3 patches will be available to each person that earns the award.
