We are very excited to have you participate in our annual Spring Conference that will be held at the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada on April 18-20, 2018.

There will be an Award for Best Themed Booth, based on the (SPORT) theme. The most outstanding booth will be awarded with a trophy.

2 We are very excited to have you participate in our annual Spring Conference that will be held at the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada on April 18-20, This will be our 53rd anniversary, and as such, we have chosen the theme of. Feel free to decorate/design your space accordingly. There will be an Award for Best Themed Booth, based on the (SPORT) theme. The most outstanding booth will be awarded with a trophy. This guide includes information and instructions that will help you to display easily and effectively. Please study this guide carefully, paying particular attention to deadlines. We hope your show experience will be a rewarding one. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions which are not covered in this guide. We look forward to seeing you at the show! 3 HOTEL INFORMATION: The 2018 APWA Nevada Spring Conference is set to take place approximately 90 minutes outside of Las Vegas within Laughlin, Nevada at the Aquarius Casino Resort. AQUARIUS CASINO RESORT 1900 S. Casino Dr. Laughlin, Nevada DRIVING DIRECTIONS: From Las Vegas Take Interstate 515, US 93/95 south through Las Vegas towards Boulder City. After passing through Henderson and the Railroad Pass, take the ramp and turn right onto US 95 south toward Searchlight/Laughlin for 55 miles. Turn left onto NV 163. Head east for 19 miles. Turn right on Casino Drive. Hotel is at 1900 S. Casino Drive. SHIPPING INFORMATION: For those interested in shipping exhibits /equipment to the conference, please contact Denise Shinsky at Aquarius Casino at LOADING/UNLOADING: Loading and unloading of exhibits should be done through the delivery docks at the northeast side of the building (follow the signs to delivery). Exhibitors may park at the loading dock for the time in which it takes to load/unload, but must move their vehicle while setting-up exhibits to allow for additional vehicles. *Exhibitors must bring their own carts/dolly s and/or labor to unload and load exhibits as hotel staff will not be able to assist.

4 SET-UP/BREAK DOWN: Exhibitor set-up/breakdown will be available as follows: Wednesday, April 18th, between the hours of: 9AM 12 Noon Friday, April 20th, between the hours of: 11:30 AM end of conference If you require an alternative schedule please contact Kaushal Shah on or or Shannon Ahartz on or directly. A raffle will be conducted on Thursday during breaks for any exhibitors wishing to raffle a prize. If you choose to participate, please collect business cards during the conference for the drawing. Power will be available to exhibitors at their booth, but exhibitors should provide their own power strips and extension cords as well as gaffers tape to secure electrical cords. A 6-foot table will be provided with 2 chairs for each exhibit Wireless internet will be available in the exhibit hall for all booths

6 GENERAL APWA INFORMATION: The American Public Works Association (APWA) serves professionals in all aspects of public works a fact that sets it apart from other organizations and makes it an effective voice of public works throughout North America. With a worldwide membership over 32,000 strong, APWA includes not only personnel from local, county, state/province, and federal agencies, but also private sector personnel who supply products and services to those professionals. Membership in APWA is open to any individual, agency, or corporation with an interest in public works and infrastructure issues. Titles common to the membership include public works directors; city engineers; city managers; fleet managers; property and equipment superintendents; utilities managers; community development directors; transportation managers; park directors; county officials; and representatives from engineering and other consulting firms, manufacturers, construction companies, and a multitude of other service providers. Although originally chartered in the United States in 1937, APWA has roots in two predecessor groups that reach back to 1894, and has 63 chapters in North America, which includes eight chapters in Canada. The Canadian Public Works Association (CPWA) or Association Canadienne des Travaux Publics, was founded in 1986, and is governed by an 8-member Board of Directors (one representative from each chapter in Canada). Members of CPWA are automatically members of APWA. A 17-member Board of Directors, all of whom are elected by Association members, governs APWA as a whole. As a comprehensive public works resource, APWA continues in its rich tradition of making a difference both on an individual and professional level. APWA is a not-for-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization that prides itself on its ability to provide varied educational and networking opportunities that help public works personnel to grow in their professionalism and directly impact the quality of life in all the communities they serve. MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the American Public Works Association is to improve the quality of life by providing a forum for the development and exchange of ideas, information and technology, which enhances the delivery of public services by promoting the personal and professional growth of its members, and by advancing public works issues on the public agenda.
