But do you know that refined carbohydrates and sugar laden foods might cause physical and behavioral problems in your child? There is a definite food/mood connection! My 10- year-old son started having extreme symptoms over one year ago. His blood sugar has gotten as low as 44. I am scared and tired of fighting this fight for my son alone. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! I have a 6 year-old who has been diagnosed and recently my 4 year-old has been diagnosed also. It s frustrating that their school teachers and others don t fully understand what they are going through. Thank you for your Facebook page! My daughter, who is 14, was recently diagnosed with hypoglycemia. Until the diagnosis, we couldn t figure out what was wrong. All of a sudden she went from a beautiful young lady, straight A student to a daughter contemplating suicide. The HSF is a lifeline for these and thousands of other children and their parents. For this reason, the HSF is focusing on collecting data to explore why children are becoming victims to this easily controlled disease. We are asking parents, teachers, health care professionals and community leaders to band together and spread our message that what children and adults eat or do not eat contributes to how we all think, act and feel.
