1 Kiama Lions Club - Ki-Lines Edition 1/ Lions #1 Ki Lines , Hi all and thank you for a fabulous changeover night. Jerry and I felt very privileged to be part of such a successful evening. A special thanks to that group of Lions and the Lions ladies who seem to have endless energy, they were still going up till midnight. It was great to see that Graeme Henderson and Ray and Lyn Hunt were able to attend, and to Ray and Lyn all the best for their new life in Perth. PP Jerry was most excited to present the awards to some special lions for their service and commitment to Lions, congratulations again to Jim Webb, Gerry McInerney, Bob Gray, John Larkins and Barb Hatton. (HOPE I HAVE NOT FORGOTTON ANYONE) Our sympathy goes out to Owen Patton with the passing of his wife Clair. Owen had been a long serving and venerated member of Kiama Lion before leaving to retire to Blue Haven. Kiama council have asked if our club would be interested in providing some activities at the New years' Fireworks. I would like to know if there is sufficient interest from our members to support this activity and how many members would be prepared to make themselves available on the night. At our first dinner meeting is on the 5 th, our guest speakers will be the three young ladies that KLC sponsored for the recent Outward bound course. Ashley Bartrim, Lauren Andrews and Madison Cook attended a 12 day program where they experienced a wilderness navigation course in the Australian Alps near Canberra. Lloyd Worthy the outward Bound Australia community partnership officer will be attending to support these young ladies and we can expect an exciting presentation recounting their experiences. Don t forget the gala fundraiser to be held at the new Wollongong Hanoi restaurant to be held on Monday the 16 July. Please contact Gordon Bell for more information and to book spot. Funds raised will go to the Wollongong Neonatal/Children s ward. Cheers Pres. Tony If Lady Lions, or Lions are wishing to bring any guests to this meeting, please text or ring Lions Mobile to advise. ALL ARE WELCOME FOR THIS MEETING.
