1 Newsletter w/c 30th May 2016 Good Luck to Queensie IRB Team in Round 3 of Premiership Series this weekend. Queensie Presentation Night last Saturday was fun for everyone. Thanks to all the members who came and supported the Club and the recipients of the awards. Special thanks to Greg Heard MC assisted by Dave Slennett, Julie Slennett for the amazing prizes, our Prize girls Ashleigh, Maddy, Grace and Sarah, Robyn Henderson for the awesome slide show. Balgowlah RSL for fantastic service and good food. Jayson Elkins for the Photo Booth. Carla Thornton for taking photos all night If you were unable to attend but are a recipient of an award please collect your prizes at the Club - contact Carla in the office between 9.30am and 2.30pm on Wednesday or Friday this week or Monday, Wednesday and Friday's from June 6th. All prizes not collected by 30 June 2016 will go into the uniform shop as stock.

6 INVITATION TO ALL MEMBERS - QSLSC LEADERSHIP: ROLES AND ELECTION PROCESS When: Tuesday 14th June, 6pm to 7pm Where: QSLSC Club House As part of the Board s succession plan, the board is holding an information session to inform members of QSLSC leadership structure and the election process for Club officers. All members are invited to attend. At the meeting members will be advised of the Club s governance and leadership structure and the roles and responsibilities of each of the Board members. Members will also be advised of the process governing the election of Club officers and invited to consider nomination for board and leadership roles. The meeting will provide the opportunity to hear first-hand from current Board

7 members about the responsibilities, challenges and rewards of their role. The meeting will also provide the opportunity for open discussion VALE: The Club is mourning for the loss of two of our patrons and supporters of the Club. Our deepest sympathy goes out to Mal Shaw and John Langford families. John Langford s funeral will be held at St Paul s Anglican Church, 3 Frenchs Forest Road Seaforth on Friday 3 rd June at 11am. Mal Shaw s funeral notiece will be in this weekend s Manly Daily and Saturday Herald, however it is scheduled for the 10 th June. RIP DIARY DATES: ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING SUNDAY 7 th AUGUST 10.30am QSLSC LEADERSHIP MEETING 14 TH JUNE 6PM TO 7PM Bike to be claimed There is a Bandera racing bike, which has been at the Club for at least 4 weeks. If it is yours please claim it by contacting the Office during office hours; Monday, Wednesday and Friday 9:30am til 2:30 pm.
