6 Wellness Workshops The wellness wheel is a visual guide to better understand the eight dimensions or areas of an individual s life that make up their overall health. The Urbana Park District will be offering wellness workshops led by professionals covering topics related to health and wellness periodically throughout the year. These workshops are designed to educate, engage, and motivate you to incorporate ALL areas of wellness into your everyday lives. Program titles will be color-coded to correspond with the dimensions of wellness that are covered in the program. Sip, Savor, and Science: Wine & Dine Your Way to Heart Health Saturday, February 2, 5-6:30pm Age 21 and Up Celebrate Valentine s Day early with a happy hour of sampling and science! Learn about wine, cheese, and chocolate as they relate to heart health while tasting and pairing different varieties of each. She has taught over 8,000 classes in Champaign-Urbana. She is dedicated to wellness of all kinds and feels it is enhanced by a well-rounded approach. She also instructs educational classes specializing in Natural Wellness/Functional Medicine and Conflict Resolution and Communication Skills. She is excited to offer Conflict Resolution and Communication Skills classes (page 59) at the Urbana Park District beginning in January This class provides powerful tools and knowledge that develop skills to support moving past challenges that stand in the way of win/ win problem solving within relationships, life situations, and oneself. This new class will be offered in 4 week sessions, once weekly with schedule-friendly options. Flexible Fitness Punch Cards If your schedule fluctuates or you find it difficult to attend an entire session of fitness classes, purchase a 10-class Flexible Fitness Punch Card. Attend any class that accommodates your schedule. Passes may be used for all fitness classes in their category. Preregistered participants get priority of class space.
