5 ... LET S DO DINNER Anne Pelton lapelton@shaw.ca Mary Ellen Chambers maryellen.chambers@outlook.com An evening around the dinner table enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal is a great way to meet and really get to know people in our Newcomers Club. So come join us, and Let s Do Dinner. Dinners are the fourth Tuesday of each month; except that there is no regular dinner in June and we break for the summer, so the next dinner will be in September. The concept is simple the host provides the main course and tea/coffee, guests supply appetizers, salad or dessert, and everyone brings their preferred beverage for the evening. You just sign up each month when you want to participate, and indicate if you are able to host that month. Sign up will be at the Newcomers Club meeting (first Thursday of the month) or by to the coordinators by the Saturday following that meeting. Participants for the month will be divided into groups of 6-8, and a list of hosts and their guests will be sent out by to the hosts, who will contact each of their guests to decide who will bring what course, and also to provide details about time and address. We need another co-coordinator, please consider helping out. CAMPING Des & Barb Montgomery (Alumni) desbar@shaw.ca If you wish to join our group, which combines members from the Alumni and Newcomers groups, please contact the coordinators. A camping schedule is sent out early in the year showing the places and dates of each camping trip. It also shows which parks have cabins and the charges, including any discounts....arts AND CRAFTS Sonya Kwiatkowski sonya.kwi@gmail.com Do you have projects you would like to finish and would like to enjoy the company of others at the same time? Everything from photo editing to painting, knitting, scrapbooking etc., join us once a month at Serious Coffee in the meeting room. The next meeting will be Wed June 14 from 1:30-3:00.
