Each item should be branched in relation to its individual character so that the mixed product, when cooked by the consumer based on recommended package cooking time, will result in a tender, good tasting product.. COLOR STANDARD Each ingredient must possess a uniform color typical of the product which is young and tender and has been properly prepared and processed. There shall be no badly discolored units within the sample.. DEFECT CRITERIA Reasonably free from defects. 1. 3 D. Casing: 1. Product shall be packed in a printed oyster white, staple-free carton and shall conform to SYSCO General Printing Specification for Corrugated Shipping Cartons. 2. The strength of the corrugated must be sufficient to withstand one full circle of the distribution processes. 3.
