Everyday in the US (3) women are murdered by their husband or boyfriend The Jennifer Blue Project and Hidden Jewels of North Carolina are partnering together to present The Hidden Blues Weekend. That will lead the fight against Domestic Violence as only they can. The weekend uniquely utilizes entertainment as a vehicle to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for victims, through use of both major media and grassroots campaign. The Hidden Blues Weekend will be making an impact in North Carolina! By it s grassroots nature effectively reaching underserved communities to address the issues of abuse, while generating millions of gross impressions throughout the state and soon across the country.

Navy Chambers is trying to make the transition from black eyes to blue skies. Leaving an abusive relationship is not always as easy as many people may think. Despite Navy's new found independence, the support of her friends, and letting go of her past. Navy comes to find out her past has not quite let go of her.

11 Jennifer Blue Jennifer Blue knows first hand the effects domestic violence has on a family. As a survivor herself, she s knowledgeable, committed and passionate about keeping domestic violence awareness on the forefront for educating communities in the detection, prevention, effects and recovery of domestic violence. In 2010 she uniquely came up with The Jennifer Blue Project this project was designed to educate a diverse audience about the growing epidemic of domestic violence. By using the power of the arts to help individuals to understand the complicated issues surrounding domestic violence in the urban stage play Easier Said than Done.

12 Kezra Marshall Rev. Kezra Marshall, clarion call has been to the socialeconomic and social justice issues that have plagued our communities. Her heart for those who are underprivileged and have been victimized has been the igniting force for the 12 years she has expended in the creation and implementation of aftercare programs for those who have suffered from addiction, mental illness, the ex-offender and those who have been victimized or have been perpetrators of violence. She utilizes these programs as catalyst to bring forth hope, healing and restoration to those she serves. Rev. Marshall, a survivor of domestic violence and a witness to the victimization of her mother as a child, is the driving force of her passion to further the awareness of domestic violence and its damaging effects to the family unit and to the communities in which we live. She is committed to lead the pathway of education, awareness and continual healing through aftercare programs for those who have been victimized and their families. Rev. Marshall is the founder and CEO of Hidden Jewels Inc., an empowerment company whose mission is to educate and empower women to elevate their thinking to pursue kingdom purpose in all facets of their lives. Through mediums of workshops, seminars, magazine publications and radio, Hidden Jewels Inc. is the catalyst for women to rise in purpose and destiny.
