5 AQUATICS Fall September 4 - October 22 YOUTH/TEEN SWIM LESSONS Fee: $20 members, $63 nonmembers PARENT CHILD SWIM (6-36 MONTHS) Introduces infants and toddlers to the aquatic environment and focuses on exploring body positions, blowing bubbles and fundamental safety and aquatic skills. We will work on building your confidence while teaching basic swimming skills. 3 lessons are one on one and set to meet your scheduling needs. We recognize that everyone has personal strengths. We care for, support, and help people develop through encouragement. We re confident that we can make a real difference in the lives of people. 8 AQUATICS Fall September 4 - October 22 INTRODUCTION TO SWIM TEAM September 4-October 5 Are you & your child unsure of joining the swim team? If so, take our introductory offer. Practice with the swim team and meet the coaches. We hope you ll have a wonderful experience & decide to stay on the team. Interested youth need to be able to swim one length of front and back crawl. September 4-September 27 Monday and Wednesday 4:00-5:00pm October 1-October 5 follow the swim team schedule Fee: 8 $20 members $20 nonmembers SWIM TEAM PRESEASON Preseason is for swimmers who have participated on swim team in the past. This 4 week session is optional but it is a great opportunity if your swimmer wants to start conditioning prior to the regular season starting. MEMBERS ONLY September 4-September 27 8 & Under Monday & Wednesday 4:00-5:00pm Fee: $20 9 & Over Monday 5-6:30pm, Tues/Thurs 6:30-8pm, Wed. 4-5:30pm Fee: $55 SWIM TEAM October 1-middle of March The swim team is open to all youth who have an interest in training & competing on the team. The goal of the program is to help young athletes develop to their full potential & stresses self improvement. Participants must have completed the 4-S level of swim lessons. 9 GYMNASTICS Fall September 4 - October 22 PARENT TOT (18 MONTHS-2.5 YEARS) This class requires adult participation. Children will explore independence through use of large motor skills and physical exploration. Thursday 9:00-9:45am Saturday 8:15-9:00am Fee: $28 members, $78 nonmembers TUMBLE BUGS (2.5-3 YEARS) Structured beginning gymnastics activities. No adult participation needed. This class focuses on jumping, rolling, and swinging and is designed to strengthen your child as they explore the gymnastics equipment. Tuesday 10:30-11:15am Thursday 10:00-10:45am Friday 9:00-9:45am Saturday 9:15-10:00am Fee: $28 members, $78 nonmembers KINDERGYMNASTICS (4-5 YEARS) For children with no prior gymnastics experience or surpasses Tumble Bugs. Each child will learn gymnastics skills while exploring the balance beam, uneven bars, floor exercise, and vault table. 10 GYMNASTICS Fall September 4 - October 22 LEVEL 1 - BEGINNER (5 YEARS AND UP) For children with no prior gymnastics experience. Each child will learn gymnastics skills while exploring the balance beam, uneven bars, floor exercise, and vault table. Monday 6:15-7:15pm 7:15-8:15pm (9 years & older) Wednesday 4:15-5:15pm 6:15-7:15pm Saturday 11:00-12:00pm Fee: $35 members, $82 nonmembers LEVEL 2 - ADVANCED BEGINNER (5 YEARS AND UP) This class will focus on more advanced skills. This class is for gymnasts who have surpassed Level 1 skills. Monday 4:15-5:15pm Wednesday 5:15-6:15pm 7:15-8:15pm Saturday 12:00-1:00pm Fee: $37 members, $84 nonmembers LEVEL 3 - NON COMPETITIVE TEAM (5 YEARS AND UP) This class will focus on more advanced skills. This class is for gymnasts who have surpassed level 2 skills. Class meets both days Director Approval Required for this class Tuesday 4:45-5:45pm AND Thursday 4:45-5:45pm Fee: $70 members, $112 nonmembers COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS TEAM (AGES 5-18) For gymnasts wanting to participate in competitive gymnastics Levels from Each level focuses on solid basics and skill progressions while developing YMCA core values of respect, responsibility, caring and honesty. Director Approval Required HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASTICS This class is for gymnasts who are interested in participating in high school gymnastics. Class runs September 4-October 18 Tuesday & Thursday 7:00-8:30pm Fee: $140 members, $215 nonmembers OPEN WORKOUT For any Level 2-9 or high school gymnast looking for some more gym time to improve their skills. Must be enrolled in at least one Manitowoc Two Rivers Y gymnastics class for the Fall. Dates: September 7, 21, October 5, 26 Friday 5:30-6:30pm Fee: $6 members, $12 nonmembers 10

11 ADULT HEALTHY LIVING Fall September 4 - October 22 PERSONAL WELLNESS TRAINING (ALL AGES ) One-on-one training to reach your wellness goals. Whether it is weight loss, muscular strength/flexibility, injury prevention, or post rehabilitation; a Y personal trainer will help you attain your goals. Members only. Fee: 1-60 min session $ min sessions $ min sessions $310 SMALL GROUP ADULT PERSONAL TRAINING Create small groups of between 3 and 6 adults to train together with a YMCA Certified Personal Trainer. Develop healthy habits with friends. Fee: $12 per person per hour session members $30 per person per hour session nonmembers TRAIN TO TROT Get ready for the upcoming Turkey Trot by training for the 2 mile run/ walk or the 5 mile run with a running coach. The running coach will take you through numerous running workouts to get you ready for the big race. Registration for the Turkey Trot is included within the fee. October 1-November 21 Monday & Wednesday 5:00-6:00pm Fee: $70 members, $95 nonmembers WEEKEND WARRIOR FITNESS Nonmembers may join our Weekend Warrior Fitness program. Only eligible for use Friday, Saturday, Sunday Fee: $55 per month MASSAGE Our Massage Therapy services are one of our best kept secrets at our Y. Whether you need relaxation or stress-relief, deep tissue, hot stone or therapeutic for sore muscles, or even prenatal massage, we re here for you. Stop at the Member Services desk or call the Y to schedule your massage appointment with one of our 4 Licensed Massage Therapists. High intensity. Low impact, all choreographed at a faster pace. Routines incorporate interval training and resistance training. We often fall behind in fitness goals. Your goal is work out 50 times between Labor Day and Thanksgiving (11 weeks). Average 4-5 workouts per week. A workout is minutes of activity. Earn cool things for 50 workouts. Full access to the Y and Group Exercise classes. September 4-November 21 Fee: $25 members, $75 nonmembers MOVING FOR BETTER BALANCE Strengthen your mind and soul, as well as your body. Based on 8 forms of ancient Tai Chi movement, Moving for Better Balance is great to help older adults improve their balance, prevent falls and increase confidence in performing everyday activities. Lead by a Tai Chi trained and certified instructor, participants will learn an array of exercises to feel stronger, better balanced, more flexible and more confident. 13 GROUP EXERCISE LAND CLASSES These classes are included with your Y membership. Check the Group Exercise schedule for days and times. Body Sculpt: Designed to increase your cardiovascular, muscular strength and endurance by alternating between cardio and resistance training Bootcamp Functional Cross Training : Mixes traditional callisthenic & body weight exercises with interval & strength training. Typically outdoors when weather allows. Cardio Kickboxing is an action packed workout that combines a series of punching & kicking combinations, improving strength, muscle tone & endurance. Cycling: Find your own rhythm in a cycling workout that delivers maximum cardio results with minimum impact on your joints. Dance Fitness: Featuring simple but seriously hot dance moves, is the perfect way to shape up and let out your inner star even if you re dance challenged. Flex & Flow: You will bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves and embrace elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Group Power is an hour of POWER! This is a 60 minute barbell class that strengthens all major muscle groups in an inspiring and motivating group environment. Group Ride is a thrilling cardio workout inspired by outdoor cycling. Kettlebell class consists of a whole-body movement exercises that deliver cardio, strength, and flexibility benefits in a short amount of time that can be beneficial for anyone no matter the level of fitness. Moving For Better Balance: Strengthen your mind and soul, as well as your body. Available for older adults to help improve their balance, prevent falls and increase confidence in performing everyday activities. Pilates: Improves muscle strength, core stability, posture, and flexibility as well as breathing and relaxation techniques. PiYo: Combines the muscle sculpting, core firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of Yoga. 13

14 EVEN MORE GREAT GROUP LAND CLASSES POUND: An upbeat full body workout yet an exhilarating cardio jam session. RIPPED: a training method using the ultimate HIIT experience: a non-stop, heart pounding, 50 minute workout that will leave you drenched, muscles fatigued and mind at peace. RIPPED RUMBLE is an authentic, yet simple to master, cardio mixed martial arts adapted for the group exercise environment. Rhythm Aerobics: It s a fun and effective, using interval training combining fast and slow rhythms for an active aerobic workout TRX is a high level intensity, interval and cardio training class. Challenge your workouts with powerful movements using TRX bands Yoga: Postures focus on correct alignment, strength building, range of motion, breathing techniques and deep revitalizing relaxation. ZUMBA: is a fusion of Latin and International music-dance that features aerobic/fitness training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms to tone and sculpt the body 14 GROUP EXERCISE WATER CLASSES These classes are included with your Y membership. Check the Group Exercise schedule for days and times. Aqua HIIT: An intense interval training that will improve your cardiovascular and muscular endurance and increase strength. H20 Fusion: Fun, low-impact, cardio exercises that will strengthen your flexibility, balance and coordination. Arthritis: Great class for strengthening, toning, and stretching with full range of motion. Very relaxing and helps to make you feel great! Water Jog: Travel from shallow to deeper water using water resistance to improve your cardiovascular and muscular endurance and increase strength.

15 TENNIS Fall September 4 - October 22 YOUTH TENNIS LESSONS BEGINNER (AGES 5-8) Students will be introduced to the basics of tennis. Parents will do most of the feeding of balls to their child. Sunday 1:00-1:45pm Fee: $25 members, $45 nonmembers INTERMEDIATE 1 (AGES 9-16) Students will be taught the major strokes associated with tennis (forehand, backhand, serve, and volley). Students will also be taught both no-ad and regular scoring. Sunday 2:00-3:00pm Fee: $35 members, $55 nonmembers INTERMEDIATE 2 (AGES 9-16) Students will be taught advanced stroke production such as different spins and speeds. Students will also begin to get into match and point play. Sunday 3:00-4:00pm Fee: $35 members, $55 nonmembers JUNIOR SINGLES TENNIS LEAGUE Singles tennis league open to youth in high school and younger. Participants must have their own tennis racquet as well as know how to keep score and be able to serve and keep a rally going. Divisions are set up by ability rather than age. Three divisions running from November 4-end of January. 16 ACTIVE OLDER ADULTS Fall September 4 - October 22 SENIOR CIRCUIT Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance and power with a standing circuit workout. Upper body strength work with hand held weights, elastic tubing, and an exercise ball is alternated with low impact cardio choreography. A chair is used for standing support, stretching, and relaxation exercises. See monthly calendar for days, times, and instructor H2O SENIORS Held in the Instructional pool, this class is a low impact aqua fitness class. No swimming skills needed. Move your body through the water to the music. Increases range of motion, strength and endurance and well as flexibility. SENIOR CLASSIC Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activities of daily living. Hand held weights, elastic tubing, and an exercise ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available for seated or standing support. See monthly calendar for days, times, and instructor SENIOR YOGA Yoga will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of seated and standing postures designed to increase flexibility, balance, and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. 17 YOUTH HEALTHY LIVING Fall September 4 - October 22 CO-ED YOUTH STRENGTH TRAINING (AGES 11-18) Small group training that uses different pieces of weight/strength. Body weights exercises. The seven week class helps introduce our youth to the proper/safe way to use strength equipment. Mon/Wed 5:30-6:00pm Fees: $25 members, $63 nonmembers CO-ED AGILITY & SPEED TRAINING (AGES 11-18) Work on youth foot speed, hand speed and overall agility. Differs from strength training because it is more cardio based. Mon/Wed 6:00-6:30pm Fee: $25 members, $63 nonmembers SWIM TEAM STRENGTH & CONDITIONING Safe exercise environment for youth to learn and take their swimming skills to the next level uses multiple pieces of the strength training equipment. 18 YOUTH HEALTHY LIVING Fall September 4 - October 22 RED CROSS BABYSITTING COURSE (AGES 10-12) Become the best babysitter in your neighborhood. Start your babysitting business on the right foot and learn how to be a safe, professional and reliable sitter. Course includes a handbook, DVD and certificate upon completion of the course. A bag lunch is needed. October 13 9:00am-4:00pm* * End times may vary based upon enrollment. Fee: $55 for everyone YOUTH FITNESS ORIENTATION (AGES 12-16) Get certified for a Youth Fitness Pass so that you can use the Lifestyle Center. Learn proper use of cardio & select circuit equipment. Child will earn a wristband upon completion which must be worn when in Lifestyle Center. A Y Trainer will work with child and evaluate use of equipment.
