1 PHONE: (972) Joel Andrew Walker April 18, November 1, 2016 Joel Andrew Walker, age 33, of Plano, Texas, passed away November 1, Joel was born April 18, 1983, in Watford, England, to Nigel William and Ann Elizabeth (Cook) Walker. He graduated from Plano Sr. High in Joel graduated from Texas Tech University with both his BBA in 2005 and his MBA in 2007 with a semester abroad at the University of Prague in the Czech Republic. He was employed with JP Morgan Chase as a financial analyst for the past five years. He is survived by his parents, Nigel and Ann Walker of Plano, Texas; fiancée, Kineret Cohen, also of Plano; grandparents, Hilda Cornall and Alan Cornall of Milton Keynes, England; nephew, James Hamilton of Allen; and his beloved dogs, Chips and Queso. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Marie Hamilton. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Monday, November 7, 2016, at Custer Road United Methodist Church in Plano, Texas. A private family graveside service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation from 5:00 7:00 p.m., Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen. Anyone wanting to contribute to Joel s favorite charity can do so at Fanconi Anemia Research Fund (FARF), it's the only hope we have of defeating this problematic rare disorder. Joel s oncologist at MD Anderson, Dr. William William is on the Scientific advisory board at FARF and a leading researcher into new treatments. I am so pleased that we managed to see him in England this year, albeit briefly, but did not imagine it would be the last time. He was so brave - an example and an inspiration to all of us. I will miss him. Nigel, Ann and Kin, you have all been so wonderful, in so many ways, I am full of admiration for you. I want you to know that my church said a novena for Joel, along with his name being on a prayer list, along with friends and family of mine saying prayers for Joel all over the country. Those prayers will now be said for you so that you may find comfort and peace in knowing he is in heaven with his sister. Joel has been a very good friend to Stephen and he will be sadly missed but God had a plan for him to leave sooner than expected. We will miss him, but know he is free from pain and suffering now. God bless you! Sue Sayef SUE AND STEVE SAYED (STEVE SAYED'S PARENTS), NOVEMBER 6, 2016 Joel was full of life, energy and generosity to the last. When his uncle Pete was unwell earlier this year he immediately flew to England to visit. Everyone was touched that he could still care so much for others whilst facing such problems of his own. He also came to London with Kin for a night out with me and Tom, two of his British cousins and then on to Paris, which was to be his last trip to Europe. When Tom and I visited Plano in July he was determined to show us a night out in return and planned a whole itinerary of Jazz gigs as well as taking us to see the Texas Rangers. He was in a lot of physical discomfort but still entertained us, drove us, and explained the intricacies of the ball game with enthusiasm (he had so much to say he had to type rather than speak). I am so glad to have spent this time with him in his final months; and it was an honour to see him act with such strength and charm. Buddy, we will miss you.

He will be greatly missed. TOM BARTLETT, NOVEMBER 6, 2016 Life is so fragile and each and every moment is precious to the same degree. My heart is crying right now but at the same time I know that my two sons, Chip and Kevin, and my husband, James, have opened the door and welcomed Joel to his new home and wonderful spiritual family. My regret is I couldn't see Joel one more time and visit with him. I can still reflect on the precious memories of him in our neighborhood alley (College Park, Richardson, TX) where he was always friendly, inviting and playing with his two wonderful canine friends. I especially remember him cleaning his pool grids better than anyone of us could do and better than our own pool service companies; will always remember hearing the laughter from the table tennis games in his garage and hearing the sounds from his famous backyard pool parties. Our neighbors are so blessed to have known him for such a short time and our memories of him will always have a significant place in our minds and hearts. He was one of the best and the rarest!
