Once again a big THANK YOU!! TO ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS! So many things at the Lodge would not be possible without you! Please consider chairing a dinner or volunteering your time to help others with their dinner functions. The more volunteers we have, the wider variety of dinners we will be able to have. Also, your help will ease the load of our more frequent volunteers. Anyone interested in cooking or helping out with Steak Night contact me or Virginia. We will continue to do a raffle for a free steak dinner which will be conducted at future events. For just a $1.00 a chance or 6 chances for $5.00 you can win a free Steak Dinner on our next steak night. PAY NO MORE DUES! Sign up 2 new or dropped members within the Moose calendar year, and you will pay no dues next year. This program will run for the next 3 yrs. The time is NOW! This is the Moose slogan for this year and it sure does fit our Lodge. Now is the time for replacing our kitchen floor. We need your help with donations in making this happen. Estimates are now being taken. A donation jar has been placed on the social quarters counter. Estimates are now in the process for this project. Membership Campaign for LOOM will be 50 members. As of October 25th we are half way there with 25 signed up new members. You have until April 30, 2011 to receive Moose Bucks in the amount of $15.00 or a free steak dinner for every approved LOOM Membership Application for Patuxent Moose Lodge. Also, by you sponsoring an approved member you are entitled to a free drink as a Bull Moose for a minimum of 3 days. I am donating the following: sign up 7 Members between the above dates and receive a Limousine for an evening out with your significant other to include two other couples for 3 hrs. At no cost. (Valued at $ ) For each member signed after 7, you can have another couple join you in the Limousine. Remember your family members, neighbors, and friends. I want to strongly encourage each and every one of you to become active in the Lodge. It is your Lodge take advantage of your privileges of membership. I would also like to see a lot more of our members attending events sponsored by the Lodge. At the prices we are charging these events are a real bargain. The web page and this newsletter is the communication between the lodge and members for upcoming events. We will still have all events posted at the lodge with the normal flyers. Effective in the near future mailing my be a thing of the past. Our new Web site: is a cost effective way to reach the members as the United States Postal Service cost our lodge thousands of dollars a year for the lodge to mail the monthly bulletin. It will also help with last minute notices and changes once all the members know to access this site on a daily basis. 3 WOMEN OF THE MOOSE CHAPTER Welcome Co-Workers, Our Senior Regent, Tracie Grigsby, is still out recovering from her surgery, we hope to have her back in office in November. Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes. Watch for the date to be announced for our upcoming Women of the Moose 10th Anniversary. Congratulations ladies. More to be announced in upcoming newsletters. Thank you to Caroline Hayden for all her hard work on our dinners and a special thank you to all who helped to make our dinners a huge success. The holidays are upon us. Please check the calendar for all upcoming dinners and events for November and December. If you are interested in putting on a function please let us know. Thank you for volunteering for the kids. We currently have 3 different raffles going on at this time. On November 20th we will raffle off the Budweiser Cooler. On December 18th at our Christmas Party we will raffle off the Print of Seven Gables Hotel and the Remington 870 Express 12 Gauge Shot Gun.
