1 HUTCHINSON MOOSE LODGE # East First Street LEGION NEWS First and foremost, congratula ons to Keith Burgess for receiving his gold coat. Keith has reached the Pilgrim Degree of honor as a result of his undaun ng dedica on to the Moose and Moose Legion. This is the highest degree of honor and Keith truly deserves it. Way to go Keith! The July 21st dinner will be chicken parmesan, scalloped potatoes, green beans, tossed salad and dessert. The Hutchinson Lodge will have the privilege of hos ng the third quarter celebra on of the Oklahoma/ Southwest Kansas Moose Legion in October. This will be a lot of work and a lot of fun at the same me. Thanks to all who support our Moose Legion. SCOTT SAYLOR CHAIRMAN HUTCHINSON, KANSAS (620) Hello Everyone: I would like to keep this real short and sweet. I don t have much to say this month. Patricia and I have worked on the social quarters wall paper with help from a few others and have go en it all removed. Not fun, definitely rather work on an engine, but others have said they will take it from here for the surface prep and pu ng the paper up. We are s ll recovering from the the of our air condi oner and the cu ng of the lines on the other. We are installing cameras and now have lights on the units to detour any future the s. We are very thankful for your financial assistance as we try to recover from such a hit to the finances of the Lodge. Thank you to all that have helped and those of you that will be helping. If you would like to make a dona on to a/c repairs please see Dick. Every one is understanding and pu ng up with some warmth during the repairs. I am wri ng this the week before I go to Tampa so next month I will have some great ideas sent down from Interna onal on how to make our Lodge strong again. Well, I hope so anyway. 2 MOOSE FROM YOUR ADMINISTRATOR I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED TO THE AIR CONDITIONER AND FENCE FUND AND TO EVERYONE WHO DONATES IN THE FUTURE. THE FENCE IS NECESSARY TO HELP AVOID THEFT IN THE FUTURE. A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR PATIENCE WHILE WAITING ON THE NEW AIR CONDITIONER. I KNOW IT HAS BEEN UNCONFORTABLE AT TIMES, SO A BIG THANK YOU. OUR SATURDAY DANCES HAVE NOT BEEN VERY WELL ATTENDED RECENTLY. LAST YEAR WE HAD DANCES TWICE A MONTH IN THE SUMMER, BUT BECAUSE OF MEMBERS URGING WE HAVE STAYED AT EVERY SATURDAY. I REALIZE THERE IS A LOT GOING ON, WE HAVE HAD GOOD BANDS PERFORM FOR YOUR DANCING PLEASURE SO PLEASE HELP US BY SUPPORTING THESE BANDS. IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS I WOULD BE MORE THAN WILLING TO LISTEN TO THEM. WE NEED YOUR HELP WITH MEMBERSHIP. IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE WHO WOULD ENJOY WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER AT THE MOOSE LODGE, BRING THEM OUT TO THE LODGE FOR A VISIT. I WOULD BE HAPPY TO ASSIST YOU EXPLAINING THE VALUE OF A MOOSE MEMBERSHIP.
