2 Serving as your new Governor for the coming year will be a welcome challenge. I respect the knowledge, commitment and dedication that all our members have from both the Chapter and LOOM. I truly believe that all of us working together can bring CW 203, our home, to where it belongs. We are already on our way. It won t happen overnight but I know if we communicate and work as a team we can have a great year. Things change just like people, and our lodge needs to face the fact that we also have to change with the times. The State Gaming Commission, along with State and local Government are watching us to make sure we follow their ever changing rules and policies. Members need to take the time to attend the General Membership Meeting that is held twice a month. By attending these meeting you will get a better understanding what it takes to run and maintain your lodge running and operating 7 days a week! The meeting last approximately minutes and when you leave you will have a better understanding of what is going on. Not to mention it also cuts down on rumors if people know the facts. The Moose of the Month is Freddie Ellingsworth. Freddie has spent a lot of time at the Lodge working on large and small projects. Freddie is never afraid to jump in and volunteer. Thanks. 3 CHAPTER 1546 CO-WORKERS CORNER Many thanks to our lodge brothers and coworkers that participated in our Pink Ribbon Campaign in support of the DE Breast Cancer Coalition and breast cancer research. All of the proceeds were donated to the DBCC at the 7 th Annual 5K walk/run in Rehoboth held on May 22, Happy Father s Day to all of you lodge brothers. Just as we did with our pink ribbons for Mother s Day in honor of Father s Day, we will be selling blue ribbons in support of prostate cancer research and treatment. Prostate Cancer is the second most common cancer found in men. Many of us know of someone who had prostate cancer and as many of you know we lost a very dear lodge brother and former governor to the disease a few years ago. All of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The Lodge s second Family Fun day is on Father s Day Sunday June 19, Volunteers are needed to work the Cakewheel and/or assist the Family Day Committee with serving food and selling tickets for purchases. Don t forget..cakes, CAKES and more CAKES & GOODIES are needed for the Cakewheel. All cakes & goodies donated will receive a chance to win a free Sunday breakfast for two at the lodge. We certainly hope you plan to join us and help make it a fun-filled day of all the dad s. June Chapter Development meeting is for the Community Service Committee Chairman Theresa (Shorty) Leitch. The meeting is on Thursday, June 9 at 7:00 pm at the lodge. Any coworkers that have donated time or other items for Community Service please let me know so the chapter can report it to Moose International. Our monthly Business Meeting will be on Thursday, June 23 at 7:00 pm. All co-workers are invited to attend both meetings come out and find out what s going on with your Chapter!! The more coworkers that participate the better we can make our Chapter. Reminder, the WOTM s bulletin board is right-hand side of the wall as you turn into the Social Quarters. All important information and upcoming dates are posted on the bulletin board. So, make sure you stop by & take a look. If you have any suggestions, please let us know we are always looking for new ideas!! Coworkers of the month are Linda Heller and Karen Krouse.
