I welcome a wonderful New Year Which will be even better for our lodge. The past two months have been very busy and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked so hard to make our functions, especially our dinners run so smoothly. The steak dinners as always were wonderful. Thank you to all our volunteers who worked steak nights, and breakfast. LOOM and WOTM dinners. Our dedicated volunteers for meals include Chef Wayne, Chef Russ, Jennifer, Heather, Kathy, Kaye, Ray, Dwayne, Lisa, Judy, Jimmy, Carolyn, Virginia, Chef Christine, Dizz, Kathy, Vic, Chrissy, Shirley, Glen, Lynn, Steve, Stan and Rhonda. If I missed your name please forgive me. Nov. 11 th Veterns Day was a great success and fun was had by all. Thank all of you who brought food for this Event. For all of you who worked so hard on getting our float ready for the parade, I thank you all for all your Dwayne S. Kay Preparations. Administrator On Nov. 10th a check from a second auction was presented to Mr. Michael Farr Deputy Director of Charlotte Hall Daniel E. Price Veterans Home in the amount of $1, by the Patuxant Moose Lodge Governor Robert Hall, along with Auctioneer Kermit Zerby and lodge officers Stan Shipe, Tim O Conner, and Joel Marquis. Treasurer Our board of officers recently met with the Cub Scouts & Boy Scouts, and presented both with a check in the Glen Martz Amount of $ each from our lodge. 1yr Trustee Patuxant Moose Family Center received a Superior Rating for Community Service Award from Moose International Stanley E. Shipe For the 1 st, 2 nd, and 3rd Quarter of The Moose Community Service program challenges people to become Volunteers through membership in the Moose. It calls for capable and inspired leadership and for a generous 2 yr Trustee Giving of thought, effort, and time according to the Moose Six Point Community Service Program, counting hours Ronald Ray Payne Worked, miles driven, and dollars donated. Community Service has been an ever growing portion of the overall 3yr Trustee Moose fraternal program ever since its inception. Thank you to all our members who contributed to our lodge Raymond Nahrgang In receiving this for the first three quarters of this year. Keep up the good work and let s get that 4 th Quarter Superior. Sergeant at Arms Please be prepared to show your membership card. Don t wait to be asked. Part of the oath in becoming a member Neil W. Copp Is to be a PROUD CARD CARRING MEMBER. It protects our lodge. Our membership quota for this year which ends May 2010, is to have 60 new members signed up. As of November 15 th we only have 16 new members enrolled. Our hope of success this year rests on meeting our active membership goals. Talk with friends, family, neighbors. Sign up 5 Members between December 1 s 2009= April 1 st 2010 and earn a Limousine for an evening out with Your significant other to include two other couples for 3 hours at no cost ($ value) for each member signed After 5, you can have another couple join you in the LIMOUSINE. I would like to thank each of our lodge members who attended the District meeting on Nov. 5 th at our lodge. It was because of you being there at the meeting that we received the Trophy for Attendance. This is the first time our Lodge has received this Trophy. We are one of 7 Moose Lodges in our District. Our quest speaker for the Distric meeting Was Maryland State Senator Roy Dyson. Thank You to all of our Brothers and Co-Workers who continue to support the Efforts of our lodge. I have had a wonderful year working with all of you. Because of all the help and efforts, ideas and advice, OUR Patuxant Moose Lodge #2393 and Chapter #2173 is a better place. Our lodge is only as good as you, with LOOM & WOTM working relationship we will continue to improve for the good of the our order. I hope every single one of you. This was one of the greatest events ever held at our Lodge. There were people from all over Southern Maryland that represented other Lodges. We met many members that are now our close friends who will certainly return to visit us. The comradely was amazing and the food we had was superb. Mr. Kirk Fones, we all want to thank you for donating 3 bushels of oysters (seemed like more!) that were excellent!! Russ worked hard all day and the Bull Roast was excellent!! Pat, Mary o, James, Carla, Dizz, Phyllis, Dwayne, Ray, Charlie, Ron & Vic, we thank you so much for donating your time to help us raise money for this benefit. Thanks to all who donated food and we all know who you are. There are so many people who contributed their time and effort and food it s impossible to name them all. THANKS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO MADE A DAY TO REMEMBER FOR LIFE!! THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE TO THANK AND SO FEW PAGES TO PUT IT ALL ON.
