1 PHONE: (972) Janet Lynn Dickinson January 1, February 8, 2007 Mrs. Janet Lynn Dickinson, age 50, of Allen, Texas passed away February 8, 2007 at her home. She was born January 1, 1957, in Rockville Centre, New York to Tom and Nancy Benedict Inkman. On November 22, 1978 she married Harlie Dickinson in McKinney, Texas. She is survived by her husband, Harlie Dickinson, of Allen, Texas; daughter, Lyndsey Dickinson, of Allen, Texas; son, Harris Dickinson of Plano, Texas; brothers, Billy Inkman and wife, Sharon of Haslet, Texas, Tommy Inkman, Jr. and wife, LaDana of Allen, Texas; father, Tom Inkman and wife, Bobbie of Howe, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Inkman and grandmother, Alice Benedict. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2007, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Kirk Taylor officiating. Memorials Harlie,Harris & Lindsey, After returning from a trip out of town. We were saddened to hear Janet had passed. We were shocked. It has been a long time since we have seen you all. We do however have fond memories of the good old days. Thanks for all the good times. We miss you all & think of you often. Janet was such a sweet soul. We are so sorry for your loss. You are in our thoughts & prayers. Lindsey, I do not know if you remember our daughter Brande but, Janet & I would get together & laugh so hard at watching you &

2 Brande play dress up. The lipstick would somehow miss those lips & you 2 would have painted faces. What laughs Janet & I had. Harlie, sorry we missed saying goodbye. Knew Janet since she started the Allen sports Center and then coached with same years she did. She was a wonderful person and will be missed. BEA LOVELL, FEBRUARY 15, 2007 Janet possessed the ability to be fully in the moment when she was with others. And, her inner joy, grace and positive spirit were exemplied in her infectious smile. As a result she had many life long friends, and never met a stranger. I had the opportunity to enjoy many wonderful AHS memories with Janet; think I was in that car circling the Royal Drive-in too. What fun! My favorite high school memories of Janet were through drill team and basketball. Janet and Jill were awesome lieutenants-remember those white go go boots? It was so fun to see Janet and Jill coaching their own children later in life. Janet was a pretty intimadating defender back in the days of half court basketball, too. Through life's adversities and difficulties Janet's inner joy was never stilled. We are all so blessed to have known Janet and hoping that each of her loved ones are uplifted by how much others thought of her. A simple prayer that her joy will not be stilled but carried with each of you in the days ahead, "this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it". HARRY AND SUE GOODING, FEBRUARY 14, 2007 I spent time with Janet while her mom, Nancy, gave me art lessons. Janet was a friend to me and my sister, Patti. Although a few years younger, we had a blast together and I loved her dearly. I learned so much from these two unique and beautiful ladies! I'm now a press photographer in Hollywood, CA

3 ( & and cannot be there. However, I conveyed my feelings to her over the last year. My prayers are with Harley and their children. The time of our life is indeed short! Her willingness to open up her home and heart to a group of young girls no doubt has helped to mold us into the woman we have become today. Harlie, Lyndsey, and Harris it is my prayer that you will draw close to God during this time of hurt and grief and truly experience His peace that surpasses all of our human understanding (Philippians 4:7). You are in my thoughts and prayers. Erin Jones (Draper) Allen, TX ERIN JONES, FEBRUARY 13, 2007 Janet was the sweetest, most humble, selfless person I knew. She never wanted you to do anything for her but she was always there to do for others. Her "can do" attitude always amazed me. Nothing was too big for her to handle. She practically single-handedly organized the last reunion and this was on the heels of having chemo. I always worried that this would be too much for her but it was a labor of love for her. Once again she enjoyed doing for others.

4 All during her treatment and even up until the very end Janet missed very little work considering what she was going through. What a trooper she was. She was one tough lady and loved her family and her friends. I will miss those beautiful love filled brown eyes and that beautiful warm smile of hers and I will miss my dear, dear friend terribly. My heart aches with sadness for those of us left behind but I'm joyful also in knowing where she is now and that she is no longer in any pain. I'm also encouraged to know that someday I WILL see her again and we will have a glorious reunion in heaven. Janet I know you are in heaven looking down on us and wishing we weren't sad and wishing we could see what you are seeing. I love you girl and this is so long for now and I'll see you again and we will have the rest of enternity to spend together. Whether it was school,scouts or sports she was always there to volunteer,support and encourage not only her children but everyones. Please accept my most heartfelt sympathies. SUSAN LABHART, FEBRUARY 12, 2007 Well, i will first agree with Tim, what a great and wonderful time we had at Allen High School. ( I know some of you are suprised that i can type) ha ha. But, I have been coaching and teaching for 25 years now so, i have learned... Janet would have to be in the hall of fame. She was one of the rocks of our time... "Lumpy" I will never forget your smile and you your humor...i try to tell my kids that I teach what high school should be like. And i am uplifted daily when I see kids like Janet walking the halls... Janet's teaching style and way with people always made the customer's feel confident and ready to succeed. She could smile through almost any challenge and made our days brighter. JANET SMITH, FEBRUARY 12, 2007 I didn't know Janet as long as most.however, I felt as if I did. My sister Donnis and my son Dallas and daughter in law Julie absolutely cared so much for her.

8 I met her a couple of times and she was unforgettable! I am very sad for her and wish Harlie and Lyndsey and Harris all the best. She's comfortable and at peace. We had so much fun craming as many girls in one car as we could and driving the S curve to circle the Royal. Janet was always a sweet and funny girl and was loved by her peers.
