1 PHONE: (972) Connie Elizabeth McGillen September 7, February 22, 2009 Connie Elizabeth McGillen, age 44, of McKinney, Texas, passed away February 22, She was born September 7, 1964 in Jacksonville, Florida to James David and Norma Jo (Buie) Stillman. On March 6, 1993, Connie married Jon David McGillen in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Connie graduated from Boca Ciega High School. She attended Mars Hill College and graduated from Florida State University. She is survived by her husband, Jon David McGillen of McKinney, Texas; sons, Austin David and Conner James McGillen both of McKinney; parents, David and Norma Stillman of St. Pete Beach, Florida; sisters, Cary Lynn Ellexson of Acworth, Georgia and Amy Caroline Gibbs of Suwanee, Georgia. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Stonebridge United Methodist Church with Rev. John Mollet and Rev. Emily Bell officiating. The family will receive friends during a remembrance gathering on Friday evening beginning at 6:00 p.m., at Turrentine- Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to ww5.komen.org, or to in memory of Connie. Memorials Dear Jon and children and Cary, It was a joy to know Connie and Cary at Mars Hill College. I was Cary's roommate and we all had some great time! I have not talked to you all in years but heard about Connie's passing from Sandee. Passing from like on earth to eternal life with her Lord and Savior. I know you all will miss her dearly but I am excited about seeing her in heaven's eternity where all God's children will praise our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ together.

I only knew her a year before I moved and in that year experienced the depth of her compassion, the joy of her sense of humor and her bright spirit lifting me up in so many ways. We shared a doctor and a diagnosis. She walked me through the horror of those first few months. She can never be replaced and when it is my time to go I hope I will see Connie and laugh over lunch and take long walks in the sunshine. 3 PATTI AND CHERI PAWLOWSKI, MARCH 8, 2009 Connie and Cary were two of the first girls I met at FSU and were always sweet, pretty and fun. We became great friends and I hate that it has been so long since we have seen each other. My deepest sympathy to Cary and the rest of the family. Hers was the kindness and generosity of spirit of an angel. I haven't seen Connie since we were in college together, but I can still see her as a young woman in her pledge dress with me and our friend Laura, waiting to be initiated together into our sorority. Connie is the first of this group of friends to finish her time on earth, but her bright blue eyed and cheerful presence continues in our hearts always. MARY CARTER GREENE, MARCH 3, 2009 I will always have happy memories of my Zeta pledge sister, Connie, who, to this day, remains probably the nicest, sweetest person I ever knew. I never anything negative from her. She was always so sweet and positive. God will welcome a person like you in Heaven with open arms! As her Zeta sorority sister, I knew Connie while we were at Florida State, and I'll always remember her as one of the sweetest people I've ever met. 4 Connie and I were Zeta Tau Alpha sisters at FSU. I also grew up in the St. Pete area, went to Seminole High. She was an amazing person who always had time for her friends. I weep for your loss and pray for her whole family. I am playing in a tennis tournament on March 21 called Rally for the Cure (its in Atlanta, where I know live) and I will play in her honor and memory. We have lost a truly gracious and wonderful woman, mother, and human being. May her beauty shine on in her children's souls. My sincerest condolences to the family. Our kids took swimming lessons together at Hunter's Green. She taught Katie, my daughter how to play tennis. She taught me how to stay positive through the valleys in life. Every time we talked on the phone after she moved to Texas I always told her...i've never found another friend like you, Connie and I miss you so much. She loved unconditionally and had a passion for life that was contagious! She lived her life strong and courageously.
