Per kg empty oy weight (EBW), weight of the smll intestine i not iffer (P. 0.10) etween tretments. Per kg EBW, weights of liver, colon n cecum were higher (P, 0.05) in BCM- n BCM ALF-fe pigs thn in CC-fe pigs. Weight-specific oxygen consumption y the liver tissue n intestinl mucos ws not influence y iet (P. 0.10). However, weight-specific oxygen consumption ws higher (P, 0.05) in the cecum musculris of pigs fe BCM- n BCM ALF thn in the CC-fe pigs. Per kg of EBW, totl oxygen uptke y the colon of BCM- n BCM ALF-fe pigs ws higher (P, 0.001) thn in CC-fe pigs. The vlues for oxygen consumption y the liver in CC- n BCM-fe pigs were similr (P. 0.10) n lower thn those in the BCM ALF-fe-pigs.
