Payment methods include cash, cheque, debit card, Visa or MasterCard. We also accept Quality Foods Rec Bucks. Fees must be paid in full at the time of registration. Registered Programs Swimmers or Ice Quest skaters may only be registered in one session at a time. Unless othewise specified, for all other programs registration may take place anytime. We will accept registration or withdrawal for in-progress lesson sets until the close of the 3rd lesson. Refunds or credits will be pro-rated. Refunds or credits after the 3rd class may be issued for medical reasons only All sessions are subject to cancellation due to lack of registrants, so please register early where possible! 22 Power of R Sports & Aquatic Centres EDUCATION: BETTER CHOICES, BETTER FUTURE POWER OF R PROGRAMS The Power of R is an educational program that focuses on waste reduction (rethink, reuse, reduce and recycle) and water conservation. Power of R is a program of the Comox Strathcona Waste Management (CSWM) service which is a function of the Comox Valley Regional District. Power of R presentations are offered free of charge, to students of all ages or community groups in both the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD) and the Strathcona Regional District (SRD). The Power of R includes a wide variety of classroom workshops that are designed to be stand-alone or in a series that work in conjunction over a school year or from year to year. The information and delivery formats of the program are continually re-worked to engage different learning styles and stay current with emerging issues. The workshops encourage students to consider their everyday choices and how they have an impact on our world.
