2 Mission & Impact Statements Mission Mercy Multiplied values every person s life and believes in his or her future. Young women come to a Mercy residence because they are desperate to fill the emptiness in their lives that the world has failed to satisfy. God calls Mercy to respond to this need by providing a safe, Christ-centered program free of charge that allows young women the ability to find and embrace hope for the future. For those unable to enter a Mercy home, Mercy provides resources to churches, groups, and individuals to equip the journey of freedom. By accepting Christ s love and forgiveness, those who commit to a Mercy program are freed from past circumstances and equipped to take hope out into the world. Background Mercy was founded by Nancy Alcorn in 1983 after an eight-year career working with juvenile delinquent girls and investigating child abuse cases. Nancy s work gave her unique insight into the many reasons social problems exist, particularly in young women. It also gave her direct encounters with secular programs that were not producing permanent results. Determined to establish a program in which lives would truly be transformed, Nancy opened the first Mercy home in Monroe, LA. Today Mercy homes exist in Monroe, LA; Nashville, TN; Sacramento, CA; and St. Louis, MO. International affiliates exist in the United Kingdom, Canada, and New Zealand. Mercy s residential program is voluntary, biblically based, and completely free of charge to young women ages It uses proven methods and counselors, lasts approximately six months, and features a multidimensional approach to heal body, mind, and spirit. We address the root causes of the issues women face, rather than merely medicating symptoms or modifying external behavior. Our goal is to help residents permanently stop destructive cycles, discover purpose for their lives, and become productive and thriving individuals. Our outreach programs are based on the same biblically based, life-transforming principles used by Mercy homes for over 30 years in helping troubled young women find lasting freedom and live an empowered Christian life. Mercy Multiplied operated under the name Mercy Ministries until October 2015, when we changed our name to better reflect our expanded outreach initiatives and commitment to multiplying Mercy outside of our residential homes. Impact Needs Other ways to donate, support, or volunteer Funds may be donated via credit card, check, or cash and payments can be made through the computer, postal mail, or in person. We also accept in-kind donations for our annual silent auction as well as a limited number of items for the girls in our homes such as new or gently used clothing and shoes. We regularly have volunteers help with our fundraising events and approved volunteers also help in our corporate office and homes with administrative duties. To find out more about volunteer opportunities in your area please visit our website at mercymultiplied.com/volunteer. Service Categories Primary Organization Category 2

4 Programs Programs Mercy Multiplied America Description Mercy Multiplied is a nonprofit Christian organization that helps young women break free from life-controlling behaviors and situations, including eating disorders, self-harm, drug and alcohol addictions, unplanned pregnancy, depression, sexual abuse, and sex trafficking. Our residential program is voluntary, biblically based, and completely free of charge to young women ages Our goal is to help residents permanently stop destructive cycles, discover purpose for their lives, and become productive and thriving individuals. Our outreach programs and resources are based on the same biblically based, life-transforming principles used by Mercy homes. Budget Category Religion, General/Other Christianity Population Served Females,, Short Term Success Long term Success Program Success Monitored By Mercy Multiplied has approximately 200 young women graduate each year with their lives transformed and their hope restored. In recent years, staff has internally tracked data and seen a significant increase in program interest and visits to the Mercy Ministries website. In the last several years, Mercy has expanded the Transitional Care program and has noticed a correlating pattern of increased success of graduates after leaving the program. The increased outreach efforts through MercyTalk Podcasts, Freedom Experience Events, Ditch the Baggage Series, MPower and Guidelines Workshops have greatly increased the number of individuals who have been exposed to Mercy's program and resources. Two separate independent surveys of Mercy Multiplied's former residents were completed and published in 2008 and 2013, hundreds of former residents responded to the survey. When asked the question, "Did Mercy help you transform your life and restore your hope?" an average of 93.5% of the respondents answered "yes." The results of both surveys show a consistently positive impact of Mercy's program in the lives of program participants. Over the last thirty years, Mercy has served over 3,000 young women in the residential program, millions of young women through our outreach efforts and over 500 babies were given a chance at life. The independent surveys were completed by Your2Cents.com (2008) and Usamp (2013). We are also continually assessing the success of the program through internal measurements regularly reported to executive staff and the board of directors. These internal measurements are assessed and program improvements are suggested and implemented based on the findings. 4
5 Examples of Program Success Below is the story of Joyia, a 2009 graduate, as well as a link to our website where we have more graduate testimonies available for the public. "Before Mercy, I dealt with many hardships. During my childhood, my uncle died and I became very angry at God. Then during high school, I was molested by a co-worker. Bitter and hurt, I started to drink and use drugs, hoping to numb the pain. Eventually, I tried to end my life, but the suicide attempt resulted in a 2 week coma and a liver transplant. I had to learn to function all over again. I couldn't bare the thought of putting my parents through more grief, so I started searching for help. I found Mercy and knew the program was my last chance for true freedom. At Mercy God showed me who I am in Christ. I am His beautiful daughter and now I have joy and freedom through Him. He showed me that I am loved, regardless of my past and He will never leave me nor forsake me. mercymultiplied.com/success-stories/ CEO Comments At Mercy, we have an extensive Intake department that allows us to help young women determine their best course of action. This process helps us focus on providing services to those girls that really want to change, allows the young women to come prepared for our program, and also allows for accountability for the young women while their application is in process. Our residential program is very successful in helping young women move out of hopelessness toward discovery of God s plans for their lives. Our graduates are emotionally and spiritually ready for independence, but many lack the experience and financial resources to easily make the transition to self-sufficiency. Our Transitional Care program provides vital support to our graduates as they seek to continue the positive steps they have made in the residential program. We currently have an accountability program that pairs the graduate with a mentor from their church or community. That partner is asked to make several reports during the first six months after graduation. We have used the same basic program structure with minor adjustments since the inception of the ministry. Our goal is to stay true to this program as we have experienced excellent results. We will continue to improve our program through direct client feedback and internal assessment. 5

We desire to see that growth continue through new homes being established in America as well as in new programs being developed to help young women receive hope and healing outside the walls of Mercy. This growth in capacity as well as breadth of programming requires us to strategically plan for our capacity to grow at an appropriate pace. With all new avenues of serving broken people and helping them learn the tools to lasting freedom along with continuing to provide our core residential programs, Mercy Multiplied is moving forward in faith to secure more solid funding for growth and for the future operational needs of the organization. As Executive Director, I am compelled to provide excellent training and mentoring of staff so that as we grow, our staff can grow with us as well as to encourage and elicit further multiplication of our efforts across the board all the while maintaining our high standards of excellence and integrity. Founder and President, Nancy Alcorn, continues to serve on the ECFA board of reference. Mercy Multiplied has the highest rating of four-stars on Charity Navigator (8 years) and continues to be a member in good standing of the ECFA. All of these indicate external evidence of our commitment to excellent governance, financial integrity and high standards of excellence in our programs. Please note: Nancy Alcorn is the Founder and President of Mercy Multiplied America (MMA), but is employed by Mercy Multiplied International (MMI). MMI is an international organization that provides oversight to Mercy affiliates across the globe. She currently serves as a voting board member of MMA. 7

Over the years 60 64% of our revenue has come from individual donors. As we respond to increased costs due to expanding our capacity, it is essential that Mercy Multiplied receives greater support from more individuals, businesses and foundations. We have built our working capital reserves to $600,000 and are working to build a foundation for expenses toward the development of a home in Florida. In 2017, program 12
